I’m trying to understand this usage list and drawing a blank for some of this
Shotos 2 Stronk:
Ryu, Akuma, Ken, Sakura
I understand why they’re up there. Outside of Sak being the character release of that month, the shoto game plan is a classic. It’s not going away and no amount of Chris bitching or Ryu nerfs is gonna stop that.
Chun being low is because of high execution.
Menat being low is because high execution.
Vega being low is because he’s not charge and bad.
Fang being low is because he looks weird and doesn’t unga like the top tiers.
Sim being low is because he’s always been a character specialist character.
Characters that I don’t get:
Why is Karin so fucking high? She’s got a execution barrier too and is definitely not some easy win character and yet she’s so fucking high…
Why is Rog so fucking low? He stayed a charge character and still does a shit ton of damage.
Guile being so high is pretty easy to see. He’s got a simple game plan despite being charge and can stop most of the bullshit at all levels of play and is still top tier.
But since Rog is so low I’m also gonna say it’s racism too lol
Why the fuck is Rashid so low?
Why the fuck is Necalli so low?
Is it also safe to say that if your character doesn’t fall into the 3.000% of players that you’re character specialist?
Wouldn’t Vega not being charge make him be played more though?
The One I Love, it’s quite a unique and Very good movie, I’d advice going into this movie not knowing anything and be surprised by it.
Yellowbrickroad. Doubt anyone here ever heard of this movie but I thought It was pretty good, loved the setting and the weird things that happen.
I also liked A Ghost Story, though it did feel like it dragged sometimes.
Edit: oh yeah I should also mention 1922 and Gerald’s Game, both of which were pretty good Stephen King adaptations last year, put them together with IT and you got 3 great movies.
In a way, but he was an established predominantly charge character. Some of us were put off by the change and don’t play him as much if at all because of it. Principles matter to Charge players, unlike Motion scum!
I have nothing against motion moves in particular, but I am against taking a character that is fundamentally a charge character at their core and doing a 180 with them. Likewise, taking a motion character and turning them into a charge character would similarly and rightly piss off many people.
With Vega, we ended up with a gimped character. If he was a charge character in SF5 like he always was, he likely wouldn’t be this handicapped.
Of the 6 Charge characters in S3, only 1 is “bad” and even he is not in the bottom anymore. The remaining 5: Urien, Bison, Balrog, Guile, and Chun-Li are all very strong in in S3, and have been some of the strongest since the game came out.
Like it or not, the odds are in the favor of charge characters in SF5.
I like that Vega is motion. He’s one of those characters that may not be very high tier, but his moveset seems a lot more interesting to use and he’s more fun to watch people play than he was in IV. The motion commands really compliment his new style well. He’s not as good as his more defensive SFIV or CVS2 self, but just the way the character transitions between moves and the way he animates is a lot of fun with the new system.
Like Chun Li is another character that is unnecessarily a charge character still. Fireball is way too ass to require charge and while SBKs have fun execution techniques, in neutral they are ass and not worth the charge. I guess you could say a double sided ex reversal needs a charge command, but that’s it.
I do understand why people who are used to charge Vega don’t like it, but it’s a fun transition that fits a character that you’d figure would be more stylized and aggressive any way.
I’ve okay with Motion Vega today (FANG is a fun replacement charge King), and with Blanka and supposedly Falke being charge characters SF5’s roster has reached OP levels of satisfaction.
I already own BlazBlue Central Fiction on PS4, but it’s 50% on Steam right now. What do I do, @Akhos? I never get to use my PS4, so this could be nice, but the latest Cross Tag Battle trailer implies that Izanami might be in the game. I could just wait for that. Guide me!
Spoiler
I’ll probably have already bought it before you or anyone else can give reasonable advice.
