Surely that can’t be right? That would give him actual 10-0 matchups against some characters that have difficulties getting around fireballs. He could do V-skill and cover the upper half of the screen with the high Nishikyu. It would make it impossible for someone like Gief to advance, as the pushback of both would be more than he can inch forward. If V-skill has a hitbox, I’m guessing it now counts as a ‘legit’ fireball, and there can’t be more than one on the screen.
It’s still a slow ass fireball with decent start up and you can likely dash up and block it to remove it if you don’t have a fireball. Not gonna 10 0 anybody. 10 0 only happens in like busted 90’s fighters. It’s tied to V Trigger any way and Fang has to V Reversal to get out of shit.

The command grab nerf is justified either way. Grapplers now have way more ways inside and way better ways to deal with the ground game:
Laura has hitconfirms from half screen away and a fireball that sets up getting in, plus overheads and a command dash.
Gief has v skill that absorbs all your damn pokes and a fireball headbutt that advances himthrough fireballs and a high priority jumpin plus many ways the screen with stomp and stun gun and has pokes that go more than half screen
Birdie has a can projectile and a dolphin dive that is hard as hell to react to that hits more than halfscreen.

They will be fine. Maybe have to hold that on abusing the grabs so obviously. Today I tried to neutral jump like 4 surprise command grabs and still got a backjump… tiring.

You might be the best person to answer this. Remember like the first year of the game and everyone was like “everybody in this game plays like Cody”. Does that mean Cody will be kinda redundant since we already have so many Cody characters or is Cody the only real Cody?
One thing I’m noticing repeated a lot is the phrase “collision box adjusted during movement.” I wonder if they’re finally fixing the counter-hit issue that characters like Juri suffer from, since the collision boxes are the cause of it.
Reading through the full translated change list and a few other things caught my eye. More in a sense of “why” than anything else.
Bison: st.lk 0 on hit/-2 on block, Light Psycho Blast changed from 10 frame start-up to 12 frames, light scissors changed from 13 frames to 11
So he can’t frame trap with it on its own, it doesn’t link into anything even on counter-hit and the only thing he can potentially combo from it now is light scissors which at that range is punishable.
Cammy: V-reversal is -4 on block
So she’s now the only character in the game with a punishable V-reversal.
