Birdie has too much neutral control to not be completely free on wake up. Plus, once he’s in V Trigger he has frame 1 EX armor so he’s no longer free. Plus bullhorn is basically TAP light and retains hurt box pushback so he can make shit whiff.

She’s usually considered low tier or low mid. Vskill no longer combos on hit. Its not like she was always in range to do so anyway. Cr.mk has more pushback so st.mk might whiff. Apparently she lost light vanity set ups. She has other set play stuff though. On the other end she got buffed from universal throw changes and scaling from vtrigger activation.

I don’t think it’s that bad either but Gief and Birdie had that stuff from day 1.

I’m pretty sure they ended up “recycling” those sticks that were sent for the warranty when they were in business, but never given back. It was for a noble cause.

Different game but I played MvCI with Will a while ago and while the connection was ok to me he Said It was unplayable to him, but somehow against some other peeps from the us and Canada they are fine so idk wtf is going on lol

I think they meant that every character relies heavily on mids for pressure, as Cody had a bunch of strong mid tools to sustain his close game in SFIV.

Cody primarily was a brawler who focused on counter-poking and counter-hit fishing. I don’t think every character plays like him, no.

Kolin: St.hp - Its behavior when landed as a Crush Counter has been changed.

…they didn’t mention a hitstun or recovery change so it sounds like it launches as a crush counter now instead of a spin. That’s gonna put a bit of a damper on her meaty st.hp options (at least as far as damage goes).

Because nerfing her V-skill wasn’t enough apparently.

Anyways, onto Ed:

Forward Throw: Damage increased, throw loop removed

Still not sure about this since the throw loop is part of why his offense is so strong. Depends on how exactly it got changed. If it’s more like Ibuki’s current one though it should be fine.

Backdash: +2 frames of recovery and doesn’t move as far

Probably my least favorite change. I’d be fine if they made it so it doesn’t move back immediately (so he doesn’t backstep out of strings so easily) but I don’t like making a movement option of his worse. At least he can walk unlike Nash.

Standing Medium Punch: Adjusted Collision box during movement

I have no idea what this will result in.

Standing Medium Kick: Can now hit opponents behind Ed as well

Like he needed another anti-air. I won’t complain though.

Standing Heavy Kick: Knockback distance as a crush counter reduced, damage reduced from 90 -> 80

50/50. I always preferred it as a low hop rather than a crush counter so the damage nerf is a bit annoying, but it’ll also be nice to get conversions even if you hit at the tip.

Crouching Medium Punch: Now +5 on hit/+3 on block

This is the biggest change I think aside from his backdash nerf. Cr.mp x3 is now a frame trap even on 3 framers, and cr.mp to anything else beats 3 framers without needing a meaty. Meaty advantage is of course even better and it’ll be easier to do meaty cr.mp, st.mp without needing a counter-hit (previously that would only work if you hit on the very last active frame, now you can get it to work on either active frame 2 or 3)

Crouching Medium Kick: Pushback has been reduced, hitbox has been changed

Hopefully the hitbox change isn’t a distance nerf. Pushback being reduced means Psycho Upper will connect more consistently which is great when catching people walking backwards.

Psycho Spark: First part now -2 instead of -3

Consistently safe option now when doing cr.hp xx Psycho Spark to fish for a crush counter. I’ll take it.

Psycho Snatcher (V-skill): Properties on hit have been changed, can no longer back recover from it

This is one I didn’t see coming. Could mean Ed is in a position to get pressure after landing an un-charged V-skill now. Gotta see what the first part of that means exactly though.

His V-reversal was left untouched. Overall I’ll take it.
