Yeah, they toned down Karin ground game a bit, but at least she’s able to AA like others characters now. They need to keep up giving a big look at Rashid or a mid season update will be necessary.
Yes, it’s a lot.
I was sad that he gets nothing after forward throw (you cannot dash anymore), but this is better than some chip damage.
You still get normal in the corner.
Yeah I’ve come to the same conclusion. All characters now seem to have at least one anti-crossup AA and jumping normals are likely nerfed all over the board, which is good since it forces you to play footsies and rewards anti-airing correctly.
It won’t mean much though if pokes are still garbage. Let’s hope the smaller input lag will be enough…
He can juggle after them now. 170 -> 100 dmg. But the juggle should compensate for it.
On the other hand, he can’t do it on airborne VT, but it got a damage buff from 170 to 180.
Yeah, not really seeing how these changes get interpreted as buffs. I see a lot of hitbox and hurtbox adjustments to moves that aren’t anything special. There are also a few moves in the list (notably cr.MK and j.HP) were one wonders why anything is being changed.
He got marginal improvements to damage from PB while losing stun and gaining recovery, chop is -6 on block.
Lariat has become an even more retarded button, but it being “bad” was never an issue with Alex
Granted we (or at least I) have not seen anything more concrete than “hurtbox changed” and so on, but it seems to me that capcom continues to not understand what they want to do with Alex, or they don’t understand why he is bad. I don’t think season 1 neutral based Alex is gonna return, but depending on how his hurtbox changes work he may end up being this season’s version of Laura.
Sad times all around
EDIT: I forgot that “chop” was his overhead now flash chop lol, this one doesn’t really seem like a nerf so much as normalization
