The SFV Lounge: MUTINY!

@Vhozite

Use Kage’s S.HK to beat Seth light axe kick.

I don’t blame people for camping… but I do hate when devs implement mechanics that encourage people to do it. Example:

In the first Titanfall TTK was pretty long. Not too long, but enough that you had time to react to someone shooting you and could outmaneuver them. Long range weapons were there, but they were weak, and most of the faster killing weapons weren’t super accurate from far away. OHKOs are super rare in pilot combat. Titan weapons were strong and accurate, so staying in the open on a roof was a death sentence. It encouraged you to move around the map, chase people, and hit and run from Titans.

Then enter the second game. TTK is basically halved, many automatic weapons are laser accurate from across the map, and so many weapons can one tap you. You also lose some of your built up Titan meter if you die, so you have all these times when you’re going off and then one guy sends you from 98% back to 33%. It went from a game where you move around to kill people to a game where the optimal strategy is to sit on a roof and and beam people, then cloak and hide.

I was gonna ask :joy: gg

Play games while I’m at work… I see how it is :triumph:

LOL WHAT? That’s safe? This game makes no sense

??? I couldn’t ready up

ggs I guess

Whats safe?

Everything Seth has is safe

edit: Fukk i got disconnected again.

@Vhozite @Darc_requiem

GGs ya’ll

Learned a couple of things today.

That was your last one anyway so it works out

Cruel disaster VT follow-up. Went for the punish and nada. Most combo extenders in SFV are unsafe, tho it’s possible I dropped the punish.

Edit: I was half right. It’s only -4 (that’s nonsense) so my punish was just wasn’t fast enough

it’s -4

But because of the pushback and weird block stun it’s kinda hard to punish.

I’d be shocked if Seth doesn’t get nerfed next patch. They gave this nigga everything.

He’s really good but after using him for a while he isn’t my cup of tea.

I need either a fireball or something that can open the other person up outside of the regular frame trap/throw bait stuff. A command grab or some grimy mix.

Seth is good but he doesn’t do anything outrageous. Doesn’t need a nerf imo. Really, what does Seth do that’s unfair? Maybe a couple extra recovery frames on the axe kick but that’s it.

I would fight Seth 24/7/365 over characters like Bison or Ratshit

This guys needs to play Doom eternal. The Super Shotgun is the most fun gun in it.

Seth is like Akuma where he just has like every tool. He can chill and play footsies but also has some dirty shit. He can hang with Chun and Karin in the neutral but then has access to the axe kick and two really good triggers…

I’m not sure if he should be nerfed but I think he’s the second best character in the game after Akuma.

I launched melty blood to see what the fuss is all about… some unlikable looking characters in that game, must be real fucking good to have a diehard following.

Imagine this timeline:

Street Fighter 6 will launch with a freemium model a-la League of Legends where the game itself and all of its modes (however many there will be at launch) are 100% F2P,

but you have to unlock the roster either by grinding (time-gated or just via ingame currency) or by purchasing time-saver keys (e.g. 1 char = 5$, themed packs of charas = 10-15$, everyone at once = 40-60$).

Any future character additions are free like in Overwatch, so the game is essentially supported with new shit post-launch entirely by cosmetics - music, costumes, colors, stages. CPT and Seasonal exclusive content is still in to entice people to spend because of FOMO.

From SF6 onwards, this is a business model that all/most (major) fighting games establish, save for the more niche titles

It’s connected to Fate, like all of these characters exist in the Fate World, just slightly alterd. Basically two different timelines Tsukuhime/Melty Blood is a timeline without Holy Grail Wars.
Aoko and her Sister appeard in the Extra Games. Aoko is also a bigshot in Fates Magician world.
Ryougi Shiki is the KnK Protag.
Sion is Eltnum, she is in Under Night as Guest.

The game has a certain flow to it Under Night lacks and it has buttloads of varierty, you basically have 3 different Characters per Character.

Im okay with DLC but not into F2P because corporate are tend to abuse it time to time as news release of the series goes on.

I like this part.

And it’s not just your average player either, the pros are just as bad. It’s uncanny how many of them complain about opponents ‘camping’ in professional matches, or just whine about certain playstyles in general. They’re exactly the same as the lisping kids screaming into the mic how cheap you are, only more skilled. For some reason, scrub mentality is omnipresent at every skill level in FPS.

I have 0 knowledge about the fate universe outside of knowing that one thing is called Fate Grand Order (not sure if it’s a videogame, a card game or an Anime) and another one is fate stay night.
All I see is generic looking characters, a million maids, and this one character that has 3 versions two of which even have the same name and the only difference visually is the clothes.
