Doom Eternal is an objectively better videogame than Doom 2016 and one of the best single player FPS campaigns ever made.
I rest my GODDAMN case.

Actually now that you mention it, it’s probably best you don’t pick up laura. I remember when you were just messing around with Kage and you were cooking me with him lol.
This guy is a freaking menace. I don’t know how he does this stuff on a controller. Dude weapon switches like he has hot keys, and his aim is ridiculous.
The way this guy effortlessly controls his momentum mid air is pissing me off. This game kicked my fucking ass.
He got a back button attachment. I did too, it makes a world of difference. Never having to let go of the analogues for anything is so freeing for making constant changes to aim/trajectory.
This is why I was disappointed that the extra back buttons are not baked into the PS5 controller. They really should be at this point.
The Air Control rune is a must-have imo
There are no other runes:
Some people argue for chrono strike but I really think this rune is just a crutch for shots you should be pulling off anyway. Remove the crutch, get good at nailing those shots, and you’ve freed yourself up another rune. You can shoot for weak points with the ballista and this makes it a lot easier.
Yeah, I’ve been meaning to grab one, but i don’t really need it that much the way i mapped my controller. It would be useful for flame belch and chainsaw (or maybe crucible), but i can jump, dash, throw grenades, fire, use mods, and change weapons without taking my thumbs off the sticks.
Just had a damn good set against an Alex player with my Karin. That shyt went down to the wire, and I enjoyed every single minute of it. Love those bomb ass sets that could go in either direction.
SFV can be enjoyable if you’re not playing the tippy top tiers.
Thats funny - those are the runes I use, and I was using chrono strike as a crutch. It started feeling like it was breaking up the flow of combat too much though, so i swapped it out for Blood Fueled and have been a happy camper ever since.
Your survivability goes through the roof with blood fueled. Being able to zip through arenas and out of each engagement even off the back of glory killing a fodder is irreplaceable.
Kage is in the exact same category as Laura for me. Good training mode characters that I really like aesthetically but just don’t work for me. I suck with characters who have to really work in neutral.
Though on the other hand I probably really should learn how to cope on characters with weak footsies so I can grow as a player.
I feel you on that, I’d really like to find a character that covers the holes in Laura’s game I just can’t seem to find one I can stick with.
Have you put in major time with any other characters like you have vega?
Nope. More hours on him than any other character by far but I’m 100% done with him. The only other character I put real time into is Ibuki. I use Nash but I just use him like I would a shoto…no deep deep lab work there other than a couple meaties.
Ibuki/Nash/Ken is a fun spread but two of them have fireballs and the other one has auto footsies v-skill and free jump ins for one bar. To an extent I’m carried by those things and it limits my character pool. I want to learn how to work with shorter range buttons.
Play Abigail, get results from mashing Kx3. Do it.
Kx3?
Oh you mean KKK
Bro I’m not risking getting pulled up on screencaps 10 years from now.
Too late
Gotcha, I’m not sure who to suggest with short buttons. You’ve already tried Kage, and I’m pretty sure you said no to ryu lol.
One day I wanna play against your vega I don’t think I’ve played against anyone using him higher than gold. And most of them just spam his flying shit lol.
