If we go by what history has shown us, it wouldnt work.
At least not by how they are presenting it.
After playing through the first street fighter, I can understand. That game is a nightmare.

They finna crash with the quickness, don’t drop your money on them in the stock market. 
The fact that is a co op means they wouldnt be open to the market.
It would have been better if they went into an anonymous association kind of way.
So far, every company that went that route (coop) has crashed and burned.

You know, now that I’m actually somewhat invested in SFV again I’m kind of annoyed about Dan and Rose. I don’t hate those characters, but I’ve always preferred they added characters who weren’t just in the last game.
Edit: Adding in Rose at this point also feels awkward.
Edit 2: and starting this new “season” with Dan is anti-hype I’m sorry

Yeah, my hype was killed when I saw the timeline. Dan and Rose just aren’t interesting to me. And the last 3 characters aren’t coming out anytime soon.

I’m only interested in Rose this season. Unless the last character is someone I want. Still, I’d rather they had saved Rose for SF6 at this point…
Dan has the chance to be mechanically interesting anyway, even if no one will buy into him because he’s the “joke” character.
Well, they have the data on how well newcomers, charcters absent from the past gae and chars that have not been seen in a while have sold.
They need to keep a balance on them, since any addition outside newcomers are a form of fanservice.
And by this point in time, they arent really selling much new copies, so they need to pursue what they seem to think will sell more.

Dan is a hype killer for me, lol.
Rose is whatever.
In fact none of the announced chars outside of Akira make it for me.
But, is not that i am that invested on SFV at this point outside watching some tournaments.
The game died on my scene some years ago.
So now i only play it with a cousin like once amonth if we play it.
Oh I definitely get it…at the end of the day they don’t want another SF3 situation and the most important thing is chasing that bag.
Idk it just feels like one of those thing you hear about gamers wanting the same shit over and over.
Can’t say I know anything about the Akira character
