I saw GoW2 so I’m stoked. Don’t think I’ll be getting PS5 at launch but it’s got some solid games coming out for it

RE7 was also supposed to be hella spooky, but nothing in that game awakend as much fear in me, as the heavy footsteps of Mr.X in the Police Station in REmake2.

Price is really good and it comes out November 12th.
Considering the rabid and eternal praise and success of 4, it kind of makes sense they’d eventually make another game that harkens to it at least a little, right?
This is alongside the fact that they’re working on a 4 Remake as well, so…

100 bucks for a disc drive…honestly not sure how much I want it. I basically get everything digital these days, but then the thought of PSN borking itself or otherwise being fucked out of digital games crosses my mind and I buy my absolute favorites physical…

If they make the REmake4 as bad as REmake3, I’m never going to buy another Capcom game.

Ironically, I think a lot of the criticisms people have for the 3 Remake mirror what a lot of people criticize vanilla RE3 as well. Not as good as 2, too short, ect. In a way they very accurately captured the original game, lol. Nemesis basically being limited to cutscenes was the biggest difference and my largest issue.
4 is a much grander scale and different game than the 4 that came before. Campaign is what, at least 12 hours? Probably longer on your first try. There’s so many iconic moments and it’s such a long campaign that I can’t see them skimping out on it.
This. Sure, the cuts from OG RE3 were kinda trash, especially the clock tower, but they did Nemesis dirty.
I honestly think they streamlined the game too much, it low key had a bit of corridor syndrome.

The original game is very linear too tho. Like, it does have some more explorative areas, and so does the Remake mind you, but compared to 2 it was always a much less creative game. And that was even easier to notice with the re-used assets and short run time, in both OG and Remake.
It’s always funny to me how people think Resident Evil didn’t become action focused games until 5. It was already heading there with 3, even just in terms of the design decisions. 3 is a much more streamlined, action packed and linear expirience than the first 2 games.
Whether it was intentional or not, they really captured that aspect with the 3 Remake lol. For better or for worse.
I do like the R3make, but it is indeed full of a bunch of fundamental issues.

All these fancy (Or not, shoutouts to Halo Infinite) graphics aren’t really going to hold up to either time or better graphics from more advanced tech.
Iirc, Nvidia already announced a new graphics card that’s going to make the next-gen consoles sweat.
Trying to sell a console solely on graphical power is a fool’s errand.
Of course, there are factors like the initial and long-term investment and all that jazz, but what really tells a console’s worth is their exclusives.
Sony is going to win this gen again.

As a FF Fan, looking at this version, I ain’t gonna touch the game with a 20 foot pole.
This gameplay reminds me of FFXV and getting reminded of FFXV makes me want to strangle puppies.

An extra hundred bucks for a disc drive? Does that version come with anything else over the digital only version?
I have lots of DVDs so I’d prefer a disc drive, but for an extra hundred dollars idk. I buy more games on sale digitally than I do used these days also.
Edit: That said, I’m not making the leap regardless until I see a new Armored Core, Street Fighter, or Titanfall.
