I can see why they’re throwing him a bone. Besides Krillin, Jiren, 17 and Blue Vegeta I’d say he’s probably one of the worst

When you have chars that like Jiren, Beerus, Videl, 17 etc, i cant really see how Gogeta is one of the worst.
I think he is on a perfect middle ground, where his weakeness dont interfere with his strenghts.
Also, I think that Blugeta weaknes is also overblown, he got indirectly buffed once the ex moves got their meter cost halved, and while he wasnt particularly good when compared to the other Vegetas, he wasnt bad either.
He was just mid tier.
Faster startup. Also various A and B assists across mos of the roster got adjusted as well

I think a good middle ground is more like Gohan, who has tons of tools and all of them are good without being an overbearing character. But I get what you’re saying.
Gogeta does have a lot of tools, but a lot of them are pretty whatever. I’m seeing a lot of high level players put him at bottom 3, and while I certainly wouldn’t go that far, he’s definitely closer to the bottom ten than the top ten.
I think that people call him weak because they cant inmediately run a train on their opponent like with the other top 5 chars for example.
Like, they want him to be another braindead mixup machine that hit likes a truck, instead of actually learning to use his tools correctly.
Him being able to dish hella damage from basic bnbs is not enough 
Meanwhile, Beerus and Jiren will be forever sad 
All those characters you listed also got good buffs
But are they really buffs that adress their actual problems that come from design, or are buffs that in the long run will not change the fundamental flaws of the chars.
We have seen Beerus getting buffed almost all the patches and nothing has changed

Well yeah, there’s always a little bit of that. If they don’t have Bardock or Kid Buu solo mix and pressure, then DBF community labels them trash.
I don’t mind him getting buffs though either way, he could use it. Beerus is a better character in my opinion, he’s been getting some really good stuff since season 1 but people are still stuck on the “Beerus tier” stigma.
Having access to high damage doesn’t really mean he’s solid all around. Base Goku has damage out the ass, doesn’t mean he’s top 10.
Beerus is already a legit character and they decided to buff his 2m even more lol. Videl got a huge buff in her combos routes and a little buff to her dodge. Jiren got really good buffs and 17 was already really strong. Axeice has been doing work even before the buffs. Pretty solid patch imo

There are a lot of charas that are very good that keep getting downplayed because they arent GT goku level of bonkers.
I am just saying that people act like Gogeta is in dire needs to be buffed because he cant solo on a team fighting game, which is hilarious.

Naw I’ve never seen him play. I mean, one dude playing the character well doesn’t make 17 strong, but I’d still love to see 17 winning.
Like JRK is amazing with Beerus but Beerus still got problems.
Just watching alukard and sonic fox with beerus shows how strong he can be. Air dp that can be made safe with supers is also legit.
