The gameplay was noticeably different. It just had a different feel and sound to it. Cheaper. That being said, the Super Nes just wasn’t up to the task of doing a perfect arcade version and they did a good port considering that.

Would like to meet up first to make sure you’re not a psycho or something (I can tell! lol). But yeah, I am always looking for people in the area who are intersted in the game. They are hard to find and usually don’t want to play again after playing me. I shouldn’t brag. I’m sure there are people out there who can give me a good go or even smash me. That just hasn’t been what’s happening so far when I find people to play. They come over once or twice and then get sick of getting shut out/destroyed.

In other news, I’ve been getting regular games in on my cabinets. Found a guy who lives nearby who is really into the game. We meet up every Wednesday and play 70 - 100 matches. It’s great.

The HF cab at insert coin sucks because the joysticks are looser than a slut after prom night but I still beat Seth Killian I can die a happy man.
Sagat over blanka and guile? lol have you ever played HF? guile’s CPS1 chains are ridiculous and his flashkick hitbox is gdlke, and blanka on the other hand is just plain stupid in the right hands. All 3 of ryu and ken/s dp’s are invincible on the way up but ryu’s HK tatsu is the best special in any SF2 it does crazy damage, great recovery, and beats just about everything.
Blanka, guile, and ryu are top3 easily while claw and dictator are by far the worst everyone else is debatable but even so HF is probably the most balanced 2d fighter around.

Offline Guile is not as great as online Guile, though. Spammable cr.Fwd instead of punishable cr.Fwd makes a difference. Also, longer Boom recovery.
Just wait until I get up in there. It’ll be phenomenal.

I think I am FINALLY going to swap out all the buttons on my second cab tonight. It has a brilliant monitor, new sticks I put on, but it’s not playable because the buttons suck. I’ve had new ones sitting in a box for two years. I’ve been able to put it off because my other cab is in good shape, even though the monitor is a bit faded, and I just play on that one. I am getting the urge to play on the mint monitor though.
I actually did it. After two years of putting it off lol. That cab has a 10/10 monitor, 10/10 sticks, and 10/10 buttons (now). It’s going to be really slick to play on. The cabinet itself I’d rate a solid 9. Great shape, extremely solid, bright/fresh artwork, etc., a couple spots with wear but nothing major. A really nice unit.

A shoryuken forum member is coming over tomorrow to play. My regular buddy that I play with will also be there. I’m excited to play someone new and also to have three players. Makes it more exciting when you are playing to stay on; loser goes to the line. I’ll let you guys know how it goes but I won’t post the forum member’s name, I’ll leave that for them to do if they want to. If I get my butt whipped I will report back honestly lol.
I also played with my regular buddy tonight for the first time on the sweet cabinet I recently fixed up, he’d been on vacation so we missed a couple of our regular weekly sessions. It was great. Also happy for the warm up session tonight, hopefully we can defend our turf against the new challenger tomorrow! (sure I want to win but in all seriousness I’m happy to have someone new to play with, win or lose. Actually it would make things interesting if he is on another level)
Maybe we can film some matches one of these days.
