The SF2 Hyper Fighting Thread

BTW True Old School, I tried to reply to your e-mail, but your inbox is full.
Anyone able to play the replay?

I got it to play, but was in Hyper SF2 :(.

Thanks Tech. I almost always root against Blanka, and did so in that series, so that was a bit hard to watch. Even though I knew Decoy won before watching it, he was down so badly in that last round I started to doubt the reported outcome.

Thanks Tech Romancer, I got it to work now but thanks for putting it up.
I was using an external version of FBA, but infact you can go to your GGPO directory and just open the ‘ggpofba.exe’ and use that as FBA. So for any of these replays, go:

C.>Program Files.>GGPO.>ggpofba.exe.>File.>Replay Input.

Ill paste the video into the first post.

hey, awesome thread :china:

if there’s another one of these coming up at some point, i’d like to participate. my nick on ggpo is ‘jpj’, from the UK, and i’ll be using Balrog :wgrin:

That replay was hard to watch LOL. I should have just played Guile from the start, but oh well. Thanks Cray for putting this all together. Decoy, GGs, but you and I both know this will never happen again. :nono:

haha

Thanks jpj, hope we can get some games in too. Just met jpj this week, he is the author of this fantastic CE Rog tutorial video. All of this stuff is afaik usable in HF (jpj?):

The main point of the tourney was to get people together playing, so hope you will just stick around and arrange matches, there is me, Paskis, Dude, Wolmar etc in europe and a few people with playable pings the other side of the pond too. Looking forward to having another Rog on the scene, lots of cool matchups there.

That last match was really close, I think it could have gone either way. I’d very much like to see any games you guys have in future also. Thanks TOS, hope you will stick around and we’ll get some matches in soon.

thanks cray, and ggs for earlier. coming from ST to the cps1 characters, think i got some reading up to do :wgrin:

just to clarify, that video is for using CE Balrog in HSF2, and as far as i can see all the stuff covered in there also works with HF Balrog in HSF2. in the actual original cps1 games i think Rog is actually better in CE because you can combo a dash uppercut after a Turn Punch of 4 or higher; but i don’t think Rog can combo his st.HP after a dash uppercut in pure HF, but i could be wrong on this. although i gather everyone here plays HSF2 with the HF characters (?) because of the desync issues with ggpo

i haven’t spoken with The Dude, but i do know wolmar and paskis, as well as most of the euro guys who are regularly in the ST lobby on ggpo. i arranged a couple of HSF2 solo 3on3 tournies for fun, hopefully will be able to get more guys over there and looking foward to some more good games with everyone

Here we go again. How about we just fast forward to the part where Rocky getting banned?

I vote for him getting banned too.

You’re absolutely right TOS. Next time I’ll make sure the matches are not so close.

Ok guys lets keep on it, Poda and Decoy, lets not be waiting another 6 weeks for one match. Lets get those results and recordings in. Me and Tech Romancer are always here to record, just let us know. Thanks

Good news, Supercade is back to the old style. And, the demos are back, just not viewable yet, but they are recording. So, once they become viewable on the website, should be good to go.

ggs to Apoc the other day

Do u guys know about some old school Dhalsim tutorial its called the 49 ways of yoga sniper (PLEASE CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG)

The 48 Killing Arts of Yoga is the tutorial you are referring to. This is for Super Turbo Dhalsim however. Some of it is practical, other parts are not. Still worth a glance.
