The SF2 Hyper Fighting Thread

Nope. But some of the guys on the tech forum can mod a stick with a wired pad for you.

decoy take this!..

You don’t get to choose who you fight in ranked match. Well you do, they just don’t show you the person’s name or record till the match is done, and you can’t rematch. This eliminates the ability for people to keep picking on weak players to gain rank, but then not punishing droppers kinda negates the whole thing.

At least the 360 has its feedback system, so maybe we’ll see it less often when the droppers see they’re stars drop like a rock.

I got dropped on like 7 times in 10 games.
Also, people playing that game are scrubs. I’m not even all that good at HF, and people were calling me a cheater!

Have you seen these people that get on quarter match and just hundred hand slap with honda for the win? nothing but hundred hand slap, winning every time. I laugh every time I pop into a game and see that.

This is kinda not in the theme of the more recent post, but does anyone remember Bison (dictator’s) corner trap? Had something to do w/ his scissor kick not knocking down, maybe it was a c mp link after the scissor kick? I forgot

Also why can’t Bison do anything against gief? I do feel this theme kinda continued in later games, but I thought that Bison had options given his fast movement speed.

Check out this video review I found…

it is so funny on so many levels. Man I :lovin: SF2HF.

That oldskoolsgamer vid was funny as hell and I rarely laugh at things on the internet. I don’t know what was more funny the E honda thing or him trying to find an opponent for like 4 minutes.

Shameless bump, but I’ve been trying to find frame data for this game and I haven’t been able to (which would answer my first question). (EDIT: It’s post 230 just above

Also, my second questions still remains the same, when I play people around here who play gief, although they’re not superstars with the 360, it seems like I have enough movement speed and ranged normals (s hk, c mp/mk) to have a fair fight.

Just saw something on team xbox that this is now the best selling xbox arcade title, so that speaks well for future releases. I don’t have a 360 yet, but does anyone know if the version on CCC vol. 1 is arcade perfect?

You mean this?

Thats great news, wow. The future looks really bright. Let start trying to bring the level up here now, to make it a great resoure. Act I recon I’m owed a little something from Capcom for my promo work, in light of all this, I shld get a fee 360 at least…:wgrin:

Report from the Comicon ‘official’ Capcom Hyperfighting tourney:

It couldn’t be more perfect, Mike Watson won it. Damn its like being back in 93 again. If only someone had recoded the event… Props Mike

I added a little bit of strategy to the HF wiki, it would be great if we could get a Honda user (Dasrik) to help.

lolz@all the hand slappers on live

oh man that shit was hilarious:rofl:

We should add that guy to their live list and play his honda…and after someone beats him yell out your hands are no good YOUR HANDS ARE NO GOOD:rofl:

Some scans of the old hyper fighting guide…

What a fantastic find. Does anyone else know if there were more parts to this, as there is only Ken & Chun covered.
Interesting also is the emphasis on matchups, whereas the GamePro HF book (unfortunately) concentrates almost solely on combos, with only a hadfull of specific matchups covered in a seperate section at the end of the book.
