i think sentinels best assist is akuma
Finally, someone else thinking on the same wave length as me. I think its a close tie between tatsu and hidden missiles(so I play both), on one hand missiles makes sents keep-away game legitimately intimidating but on the flip side tatsu makes sents rush-down intimidating.
Hey guys, I just started playing this game and I need some help. What are the arguments for the position of Sentinel on point, middle, and anchor slots?
From what I have observed from tournament footage, Sentinel is used as the middle character or as anchor for his drones and almost never on point. Is it the case because his drones are so good? Or he’s terrible on point? Or both?
Assuming that he is utterly useless on point, how does one decided to put him in as anchor or in the middle? Is this completely situational as to what other characters you chose for your team?
Finally, if Sentinel makes a decent point, what are his assist options?
Thanks!
Check out the guide in my sig, it should sum everything up and answer all your questions in depth.
Look up these players for playstyles for Sentinel:
- Rowtron (Sentinel Point Player)
- Infrit (Sentinel Anchor)
- RayRay (Sentinel Anchor)
- Unknown (Sentinel 2nd slot, not a good Sentinel though IMO)
I would recommend knives in place of unknown, he’s a much better sentinel imo.
Everyone forget Fanatiq and Dios X for some reason
I honestly forgot Dios X. I don’t consider Fanatiq to have a good Sentinel, and of course, I was naming only the good Sentinels IMO (and I messed that up by naming Unknown)
The current list of top players using Sentinel (as a character in their team(s)) goes:
- Infrit
- RayRay
- Rowtron
- Dios X
- Fanatiq (He uses Senti-Jamal)
- Knives
- Alex Valle
Special Note to: [ F.Champ (Vanilla Sentinel and early Ultimate), Combofiend (Practice team), and Mike Ross (lol he’s da best in MAHVEL)]
I guess its cause their sents don’t really do anything special, I mean fanatiq barely even uses flight combos. They have solid sentinels, but they aren’t special or anything.
Fanatiq’s sent is pretty solid.
Way better than PelicanosX, imo.
I see that most of these top players have their own thing when it comes to Sentinel. Just like Magneto top players (RayRay, Fanatiq, Joker, etc…)
Some got combos, some got hit confirms, some got flash while doin’ work (Infrit)
Just a thought.
It depends on how your looking at it I think, on one hand fanatiq has better pressure and shit with sent, but I think dios has much better keep away with sent. Plus dios actually plays him on point sometimes, so he gets points just for that.
come in here to ask a question and see this shit…smh.
What’s the question?
What shit exactly? A guy asks which sentinels he should watch and we listed who we think he should, I fail to see what head shaking worthy in that.
look at pgorath tryin to pop off lol but seriously bro you know we’ll always be here to answer shit for you
i’ve been trying out sentinel with peekaboo assist. it works surprisingly well.
I figure we could put a list of some of the best assists that could help out the Robot.
Here’s a few:
- Jam Session
- Peekaboo
- Akuma Tatsu
- Centurion Rush
- Hidden Missiles
- Aim Master/Greyhound
so far i’m loving the peekaboo assist.
peekaboo + spit xx fly into cha cha (j.m unfly, j.m) is almost like the glory days of mvc2.
still the funniest thing i’ve ever did was getting someone with the peekaboo assist into frying pan into another peekaboo assist into launch for the kill.
the assist makes for a great kara grab. kara spit into l or m command grab + peekaboo lets you followup with your combo of choice since sentinel will launch his opponent right into the assist.
Yea I loved that assist back when I ran trish, shit let you combo off the command grab mid-screen.
