What I learned about the She-Hulk/Sent with Doom missiles matchup was that you have to play normally, but you simply have to block the missiles.
This sounds retarded, I know. But what I mean is that don’t even TRY to continue a combo if you know missiles are in the air. Try as hard as you can to get in midscreen, since missiles are not as effective there (one slide and Doom is almost toast).
Had to deal with two of those in a tournament last weekend. They all took Emerald Cannons to the face, DHC’d into Jill’s guns if Doom was still alive.
Man, I just wish they’d released that patch before the tournament…
It’s really not that easy to hit Trish with ToT. She can control her air mobility extremely well with her double jumps, air dash and flight, so grabbing her becomes very difficult. Not to mention that she’s typically aaaaalll the way across the screen. I honestly think its one of She Hulk worst matchups so far. ToT works if you’re close enough to grab her as soon as she leaves the ground, but once she’s in the air? Forget about it. It’s far too easy for her to change her air trajectories.
I agree Trish is one of those bad matchups, but fortunately if you catch her once it’s all over.
An idea I use often is this: Trish players know their spacing usually very well, and so they’ll know which range the dive kick will hit for. Throw them for a loop by dashing back, then welcome Trish with a c.:h: into a death sentence. DHC if needed; she must die.
I wouldn’t attempt to air grab her. I don’t think the hitboxes allow for that, so just try to catch her whiffing the dive kick, or switch characters to someone with a bit more approaching capability.
I guess I haven’t run into a really nasty Trish yet. I’ll refrain from offering advise unless I know for sure. Can she be grabbed out of her divekick with Heavy Strike-B or TotT, kara’ed if necessary?
I do think it’s one of those moves, like Wolverine’s Dive Kick. I haven’t been able to grab Wolverine out of it with a regular :qcf: but I haven’t tried with TOtT.
It may be that the hit box is much further outside the hurtbox that it hits She-Hulk before she can grab.
Grr. I wish someone would find a way to decompile the data so we can see the hitboxes lol

On the subject of character’s downwards moves, what is the best time to hit youra assist button to cover yourself after an OTC torpedo after an air combo? I know this is a basic tactic but I don’t have the muscle memory for calling assists mid combo an I want to make sure I’m putting it in the right place?
On that note what are the best assists in addition to Tron’s fire, to use with this. I’d assume Chun-li’s lightning legs would work similarly.
I’m running She hulk hulk and (phoenix or sent or tron). Yeah it seems like she hulks Achilles heal is dive kicks trish seems like she can jump in on you all day I’m wondering if if you pushblock the dive then slide or something it’s defiantly in trishes favor. Wolvies Dive kick messes me up too.
I think to call the assist quicker you’d need to run cancel the torpedo, otherwise you need to wait until it ends. Which is fine if your hit count is not too high but if it is too high the opponent will recover too quickly.
Man I swear the She Hulk population exploded on PSN during the past week. Seems like a ton of people have her in their teams now. I’m not a huge fan of mirrors, but I don’t mind it much.
However what I do mind is so many people whoring that fucking TRON ASSIST. OMG WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
That shit completely kills any offensive momentum I have and it gives the opponent an easy ass hit confirm. I really really really fucking hate fighting against that assist.

What are you guys doing to get around this shit. All I can do right now is back off and hope that I timed my Arthur dagger assist correctly so that it hits Tron after she recovers. If the daggers hit then I can sometimes slide and launch Tron for a combo. However that only happens if my opponent is doing a poor job protecting her. Otherwise the assist just shits on me in so many ways. It’s ridiculously good when used offensively and defensively. There’s no punishing it up close because my opponent goes on the offensive as soon as she comes on the screen so I’m forced to block. Call me a whiner but they really need to patch this shit. She shouldn’t have so much priority when she pops on to the screen. :mad:
On xbl I haven’t had too much trouble. All I can think is bait it dash back then slide and hope you take them both for a ride. You can almost expect that assist any time they are close to you.
Anyone have some tips vs haggar he seems to kick she hulks butt. I just can’t seem to squeeze in a hit and the pipe cross up hit is killing me.
Exchange combos, that helps me alot but if u can’t get around that. I do c.:l: - :l: grab then back off lol they always for some reason pull tron out. Works great for me, either they get my BnB into exchange then see wat i can do about tron.
After they catch on to the c.:l: - :l: grab switch up by doing c.:l: c.:h: tap back for wall jump. Sorry if i didn’t help but those things work for me…
The real problem, as you may well know, is Tron’s assist. It has ZERO block stun after the fire, which means Shulkie can simply use :qcf:+:atk: in the ground, or immediately air throw you.
I’m not kidding when I say immediately. Go try it out. It’s dumb.
