The Sensational She-Hulk #1: Haters Went Wild

Shooting star has a 6 frame start-up active til it hits the ground and has 8 frames of recovery. This frame data has been brought to you by the Bradygames Bible.

Also if you go for wall jumps it might be a good idea to cover yourself with an assist and YES my name is Captain Obvious.

thanks for the frame data, MOTL. now i’m curious as to why people aren’t punishing it lol btw, what are the average startup frames for cr.:l:s?

I’m not sure how TACC can be difficult for anyone that’s ever played SF4 which I know is 80% of this forum. Maybe people just have trouble casue Shulk is off the screen for awhile. :china:

I think it’s a timing thing.

I’ve gotten the TACc whiff down so pat I can alternate :u: and :d: for it and still hit the followup. However, if the followup is c.:h: I have problems online getting the following launcher to come up unless I mash it. I might go back to my ordinary s.:m: followup, although for smaller characters c.:h: seems to work better since it moves me in and guarantees the launcher will reach.

I think they range from 4 to 6. Aerial ones can go as low as 3.

This is of course all from memory since I don’t have the guide with me at the moment.

Soooooo, I’m being driven nuts trying to determine my third character for my She-Hulk team. My two favorite characters in the game are She-Hulk and Doom, which works out since they go well together. <3 Doom Rocks.

My problem is, I have no idea who would be a good third character to go with them. I figure I’m going to have She-Hulk on point and Doom in the last spot, so, I need a character who can burn meter, has good synergy with She-Hulk’s torpedo assist and Doom Rocks, and has an assist that will benefit She-Hulk but not be redundant with Rocks. My guess: Dormammu. However, I’m not entirely sold on him yet, so if anyone’s got any ideas, please feel free to throw 'em at me.

I would say C. Viper with Burning Kick.

She burns meter like there’s no tomorrow, has an overhead that cancels into her regular or EX Burning Kick which could create unblockable situations with Shulkie’s Torpedo, and her Burning Kick assist is one of the few, if not the ONLY, forward-moving overhead assist in the game. Plus, Rocks can help you get in, Burning Kick will keep the opponent blocking high, or on fire waiting for your launcher.

She’s a bit on the technical side, but at least it’s not Dormammu lol

You have no idea how happy you made me with that post, as my third favorite character in the game IS Viper. I just wasn’t totally sure if she’d work out with Shulkie and Doom. I knew Burning Kick + Torpedo would result in shenanigans, but, beyond that I wasn’t sold.

Of course, the question when it comes to Viper is Viper on point or She-Hulk on point?

Hey, I registered just to reply to this but apparently it takes SRK 4 days to activate an account. First post, but hopefully it’s helpful.

I took this to training mode and tested every single character. Her TACc combo works on every single character mid-screen, but you have to do it a little different for Tron Bonne. Instead of doing :h: :s: after jumping, you need to hit just :s:. In the corner, you don’t have to worry about this.

The regular TACc combo works fine on everyone else. The only other thing I feel worth mentioning is when doing it on Sentinel you have to delay the TACc a bit. If you do it too fast you will actually change out to another character because Sentinel is so big.

Agreed. If you’re gonna use doom rocks, that backs up viper like you would not believe. Buddy of mine plays Viper / Storm / Doom (rocks)…its pretty strong / irritating.
also, getting someone playing cautiosly with she hulk, and then low pokes into burning kick could be pretty fierce.

personally, though, i dont really use torpedo assist, especially with this team - everyone can otg fine on their own, and viper is fast enough that she doesnt need low assist backup really…imo.
i basically always use the somersault AA assist. gives your other characters a free anti air attack, since defense is really gonna be important.
but thats me

I want to say Shulkie on point. Reason being Shulkie doesn’t NEED the hyper bars, but Viper does.

One Shulkie combo, complete with TACc and relaunch ending with OTG Torpedo gains about 1 1/3 to 1 1/2 hyper bar, which Viper could use to her advantage. For some reason Viper can relaunch from EX Burning Kick done in an aerial combo. It’s extremely sexy. Sure, you can’t get many hits in after from hit stun deterioration, but you can do :h: Burning Kick, land and hit Burst Time before they land (XFC first hit into Full Throttle optional).

Not only that but by trying to hit confirm lows, calling Viper to do Burning Kick can create unblockable situations that may lead to a launcher (I have to test this).

If Shulke should die, Viper on point with Doom Rocks should be irritating enough. Viper’s air dash :df: with air :l: can create enormous amounts of pressure along with :l: or :m: Thunder Knuckle, and calling Doom to cover your off-time should be even more irritating. Don’t forget to occasionally mix it up by air dashing :df: but not hitting :l:, and instead throwing the opponent back (if in the corner) into Burst Time (XFC the first hit into Full Throttle if you want), or OTG Seismo into air dash combo.

Good shit dude! Big thanks for testing this on everyone. Good to know it’s just Tron that’s odd. I’ll keep that in mind. I noticed the Sent thing as well, and I think it’s the same for Hulk? Gotta test though.

What happens with me and T. Bonne is that she’s so wide that the TAC will actually come out. You can try slightly delaying the :h: :s: but what that will do is make the window for following up to be slightly tighter. I will definitely try that trick against T. Bonne.

Against characters like Sentinel, etc, when the TaC is gonna happen anyway (or when i really want a mix up), i will often use the side TaC to get some alternate value out of the combo.
just a minor suggestion.

Oh, I agree. It’s a safe way to switch someone in without losing their red health too.

Also if someone must absolutely die now, you can do that to hit someone else’s level 3.

Although the TAC doesn’t HAVE to happen with Sentinel. You just can’t hit the TAC as soon as the Senton hits, but a bit later.

So, yeah, I tried Viper again but she just doesn’t seem to fit how I’d like on this team. However, I experimented a bit with other characters and ended up with She-Hulk (Torpedo) / Iron Man (Unibeam) / Doctor Doom (Hidden Missiles). It’s playing like an absolute dream, so, I think I’m sticking with it (at least until Shuma and Jill come out, since both have potential IMO).

I’m running team Diet Raspberry Fanta (Shulkie, Wolvy, Doom)(red alt color) and It’s really delicous.
TaCc is only reliable for me in the corner it seems.

Is everyone still landing your mixups with AA Hyper or have people figured it out? I’m still rocking it lol

There are so many mix-ups it’s going to be awhile till people adjust and then you just need to counter the counter.

Also anyone having issues with dorm the fire carpet really shuts my game down anyone have any good advise for dealing with dorm. Should I just empty jump onto the carpet?

Maybe try doing a shooting star to get in on him while getting past the carpet.

How do you guys feel about dante as shulks teammate? Im thinking his ice thingy might have some similar uses as trons assist in the corner although im not to sure. Im tryna build a she-hulk team, but I was also tryna build a dante/amateratsu team, so if shulk can fit in the latter it would make my life a whole lot easier.
