Most Dormammu players use fire carpet to keep people off. Using it so that it you hit Dorm from the air, you hit fire carpet and can’t continue a combo, while he gets a free launch. Wall bounce over fire carpet is a bad idea because 1. you can get hit by either of his hypers/purification/dark hole :l: pretty easily while in wallbounce or if you cancel it. 2. Even if you hit with wallbounce :l: you will probably land on the fire carpet and get launched, if you’re farther out and get blocked, you’ll be advance guarded into the carpet.
Your best bet is probably to get in and jump on the fire carpet and block. It will eat up the fire carpet and you’ll get chipped by the carpet and probably a black hole, but afterwards Dorm has to push you out again, so watch for either an assist, c.:l:, or teleport and react accordingly.
Something cool I came up with in Training Mode, maybe you guys already use it
But after any she hulk air combo that includes the TACC, right after the TACC, do c.M then snapback if you want a certain char to be snapped in. great vs Phoenix teams plus you do a ton of damage to someone’s point character
I’ve used something similar before, except I just do the snapback when landing. I’ll try doing c. before to hit confirm it better. Good stuff.
I always laugh when I snap Phoenix in, proceed to do :qcf:+:h:, :d::d:+:s:, :f:, , TAUNT, c.:h:, :s:, sj.:h:, sj.:s:, sj.:d:+:h:, TACc, c.:h:, :s:, sj., sj., sj.:h:, sj.:s:, land, :d::d:+:s:, :f:, :l: XX :qcf:+:atk::atk: for the KO.
No (I don’t think so), but calling in an assist with a projectile tricks the opponent to land blocking. If they jump immediately after landing and :qcf:+:h: whiffs, you can time a :qcf:+:m: or :d:+:h: XX :qcf:+:m: to grab them out of the air.
It depends on what kind of air mobility the opponent has. It’s also a thing of misjudging the range and speed of :qcf:+:h:. Opponents don’t always realize that it can even connect from further distance than the starting distance, or the sweep helps cover more space. Kara cancelling an obvious sweep into :qcf:+:atk: can help land that crucial initial grab.
You can also try your luck at timing a :qcf:+:m: but this will only hit if they try to attack you on the way in.
Crap i didn’t see the Wednesday Night fight stream, I had the Xanadu one on (who was broadcasting it and is it archived?). How did that squad deal with keep away?
You can use another taunt after the :qcf::h: to maximize your hilarity. She-Hulk’s taunt is the best, it’s fast enough to be able to throw it out a lot and still block. You can even fit it in between the last hits of Dante’s gun hyper. The best by far if your opponent is a sliver of life away from dying after you hit command grab is taunt taunt lv 3 hyper and just let them get hit by the car.
Also sort of useless because of damage scaling, you can Hulk tornado throw into the corner, tag in Shulk and OTG torpedo into emerald loop into whatever. Useless because Hulk does more damage after it, but good to have nonetheless, especially if you want to fish for Shulk reset grab into Hulk tag-in in the corner.
On a more serious note, I usually use c.:h: snapback after TACc.
Oh, and f:h: is too good, I’ve been using it a lot in pressure strings and and when using projectile assist + slide/c.:l: a lot. I just with it were cancelable.
Justin.tv - offcast - Videos I was watching the Xanadu one as well, but that shit was wack, tons of bad play(no offense to the players, but they just were not good) and all the good player were running sent so I was going to sleep until i noticed offcast was streaming. Sick stream, loads of character variety. Only disappointment was floe, justin, marn, and clackey D didn’t show up.
Sometimes I’ll try the taunt after the grab, but I’m still working on getting my input 100% for the run, but as soon as I’m 100% comfortable with my input I’ll taunt like there’s no tomorrow. The clothesline crumple just gives you so much time that it’s more relaxed.
Got me three ragequits last night because of it. Any time I scored a reset on a character tall enough to get hit with clothesline, I’d taunt after it. If they were short, I’d just taunt and c.:h:. She really does have the best taunt, even if it doesn’t have a hitbox like Deadpool’s or Chun-Li’s. Some people’s taunts take forever. I suppose I’m just spoiled
Also last night I scored INSANE amounts of Sunday Drivers whenever people were trying to rush me. It’s always hilarious to hit, but even more hilarious when you follow it with OTG Torpedo and reset FTW lol
also f+H gives her +8 on hit, so you can either continue the combo (with d+L or M), or you can go into her qcf+L command grab. The grab is 10 frames, so the opponent won’t be able to escape unless they jump or mash something invincible. Right now I find that most people just continue to block because they think they’ll eat a combo.
Interesting stuff from Combofiend. I also use Taskmaster and I did not know you could DHC into Emerald Cannon out of the air downward Legion Arrow. Time to hit up training mode and see what I can do with that.
I don’t understand why he DHC’d the first hit of Emerald Cannon into upward Legion Arrow, though. You can DHC to upward Legion Arrow from the third hit and it still hits them OTG.
Why is it that none of these well known players using She-Hulk use the TACc combo? None of them go for resets using Taking Out The Trash or Heavy Strike either. I feel like I am watching them play a different game.
Thanks. I was looking at some of the hightlight matches and there’s one of Mike Ross vs Spartan where Spartan put up an insane barrage of projectiles. Mike managed to win due to capitalizing on mistakes but I’m wondering how a She-Hulk player could get through a wall of Arthur spam and Molecular shield.
has anyone noticed the haters increasing tenfold ever since Jwong started breaking people’s necks with She-Hulk? I’m getting hatemail from salty people saying I’m copying Justin Wong.
Haters gonna hate. nothing funnier than a guy ragequitting during Road Rage
you say the xanadu stream was trash…complain that players like marn weren’t on offcast…when marn was on the xanadu stream. Though while I do agree with you, comparing baltimore to southern cali, ahhh what do you expect?
o, umm, yeah, she-hulk, still rocks…dropped morrigan for viper on my team, lets see how that works…
Justin was using TACc in some of his later games at WB. People probably aren’t using it because they haven’t practiced it much, or committed it to muscle memory. Plus it’s alot easier to miss/drop than her standard air series. In high pressure situations it’s often better to go for the easier stuff than a more difficult combo.
Same thing with resets. Often it’s a better idea to go for guaranteed damage instead of a reset that can potentially miss. Really though I think She Hulk should always go for full emerald cannon, since she can OTG with torpedo after the last hit. Get that full super damage guys.
Bronze are you still running Thor? I was just curious
I played some IRL matches today and I agree with bronze about the TaCc not being 100% its kinda tricky in pressure.
Resets though for sho My friend got use to them so I mix up with emerald cannon, What really awesome though is after 3rd hit most level 3’s pick up after for lota dmg
