haven’t even found a raw for last party and amazon has it on back order last i checked. watching it in english though? yeah, no thanks i’ll just go get my teeth pulled without any novocain or getting put under.
uhh, codes for utage? am i missing the option to be able to enter CHEAT CODES somehow in one of the menu’s? pretty sure i didn’t see the option for mike tyson punch out codes.
oh, i guess this is for the emulated version of the game? since that has an option for using codes via the emulator itself. i prefer to simply play the game myself.
My bad. Googled for a raw and when I watched it it was just a raw for the first two episodes of season 2 but it began with a Last Party trailer. Strange.
You probably know this and not to sound like an ass but just to be clear, you can watch the DVDs in English or in Japanese with subs. Supporting the DVDs in the US is pretty much the only way to show Capcom there’s interest over here for the franchise.
And Funimation still hasn’t confirmed Last Party’s release stateside so that’s another reason to pick up season 2, because that might not come here either. But it is probably more likely than Utage…
i had no idea they released dual audio with subs stateside, well of course other than the fan subbed stuff. i guess my assumption was that since everything i see funimation touching (from netflix to back when they murdered dragon ball z), or more appropriately, hear, has always been horrible dubs.
i don’t mind supporting anything i enjoy, so i’ll prob scoop both seasons provided i don’t have to hear RED MINOTAUR!! SCORPIO!!!
Don’t worry about it if your Wii isn’t hacked. You load the codes in an SD Card or a HDD and you run one of those game channels that allow you to run a game burnt onto a DVD-R or backed up onto a HDD as well as the actual game if you’re going legit, and before you run the game, there’s usually an option that asks if you want to run codes from your SD Card or HDD.
I don’t think I’ll play Utage until I finish everything in Samurai Heroes. Got at least one ending for everybody, two for some and there’s still a long way to go for me.
I know you can transfer your save file from the Japanese version of SB3 to Utage but I’m naturally going to assume that doesn’t work going from SBSH to Utage. I’d pick it up in a heartbeat if you could.
Oh and I could definitely go for a Vita version if they make one since I’m picking that up next month. Yeah yeah, so far all of the handheld SB games have been spin-offs but mofos are getting lazy and just porting games that have already been made to the Vita. And the Vita’s region free so here’s hoping. Three cheers for laziness.
My rotation of console games is pretty insane and on top of that I’m almost never home and if I am, I have very little time to play video games.
The only games I get through fast are stuff I can’t put down, like Devil May Cry games, Bayonetta and even Catherine which I got really addicted to. Fighting games go down pretty quick too since I can get an ending really quick and bounce.
SB takes me a couple of hours to get through one story so I need the free time to play it, which I don’t often have.
That’s why nowadays I go through handheld games a lot faster. I have long train rides.
Same here, I don’t have time to play console as much as I’d like anymore since my life has gotten busier. I’m more of a portable gamer now. Too bad that the PSP BASARA games sucked.
So I finally watched The Last Party on my PS3 and it was everything I thought it would be everything I expected it to be but then a twist appears at around half point of the movie which I never expected.
Action is beautiful and over the top, and it was a nice touch that rival generals from SB3 make an appearance but that’s it, no action from them whatsoever, which was a bit disappointing if you ask me and I’ll come back to this later.
As for the story, since I played SB3 first, it was a bit off putting at first having Mitsunari have a personal vendetta over Masamune than Ieyasu, but the movie’s plot was good enough to forgive such an oddity. I won’t spoil much about the story but expect a rather nice twist when the movie gets to Sekigahara, yet that was the point when things started to get rushed.
I mentioned earlier that SB3 rival generals made cameo appearances in the movie, with the disappointing exclusion of Magoichi (Why?). Not only that but despite the nice story twist in the movie, things started to feel rushed, as mentioned previously. My honest opinion of Last Party is that it would’ve been a nice 3rd season or developed into a nice movie series, but what’s done is done, and the beautifully animated action scenes make up for it… I guess?
Oh and no Kasuga nor Matsunaga action unfortunately.
But for what it’s worth, it goes without saying that it deserves a watch, especially if you’re a SB fan.
