Yeah, it’s looking increasingly likely. There’s actually going to be another BASARA themed event that actually takes place in Naoe Kanetsugu’s home town, the Echigo Province, which is modern day Niigata Perfecture. That happens in a few weeks.
Of course, some are already thinking that the guy brandishing a large ball and chain might be “Mr. Muteki!” already. It certainly would be fitting. And he and KG (Keiji) look to be the kind of guys that would compliment each other well. :wgrin:
When you consider the JP version of the game’s not coming out until Summer 2010? That’s actually quite good. People who are not importing will only have to wait possibly a couple of months before they can buy domestic.
Part of me wonders if there might be hope that both JP and US versions of the games may end up containing both vocal tracks. Maybe even both languages in text. Would be nice, even if I don’t personally expect as such…Bayonetta has spoiled me. 
Yes, as stated above. Likely to be in SB3, considering his historical counterpart was at least IN Sekigahara. Hope he grows up at least a bit.
Yeah his appearance in SB2 was sooooo disappointing.
Well, I thought the overall execution for the character himself wasn’t bad, he just needed more moves.
It was an interesting interpretation on the character. Instead of always seeing the “bad ass swordsman of the 2 handed style”, we got a hyper active, loud mouth kid who thought he had already arrived. Oh, and he throws rocks at you, and has no beef with spitting on you (which can do a LOT of damage with his Personal Special Item, no less).
And to be honest, it’s not a far shot from how the real Musashi was. Prior to Sekigahara, Musashi DID think he was the baddest mofo in all the land. But it’s hinted at that Sekigahara, and being on the losing side, did a lot to change him up. It was what served to truly transform him into the Musashi that would later go on to have his famous duel with Sasaki Kojiro aka Ganryu.
…Speaking of which, that guy needs to be in this game too. He might not have any relevance to Sekigahara itself, but if they really want to do more with Musashi, he NEEDS his legendary rival. Plus, BASARA likes to be “selective” when it comes to historical accuracy any way… :lol:

Date’s moves are all making comebacks which is awesome. Crazy Storm and WILD Dance looks beast now. But where the hell is Phantom Dive?

Oh yeah on Heroes. He’s my only maxed out character. Joke and 8th weapons, 3rd alt. costume, I got it all for him lawl.

I read on NeoGAF that latest Famitsu has confirmed that Sasuke and Kojuuro (sp?) will be NPCs in SB3 - anyone confirm / deny? I’d normally trust GAF but I really don’t want this to be true

Some actual anime news! :lol:
Picked up a Japanese magazine named “Pash!” yesterday because it had some of the anime versions of the Sengoku Basara characters on the cover. The magazine came with a bunch of stickers and a poster heh! 
The cover of the magazine says “Girls only!” For a second there I thought they weren’t going to sell it to me. Eh I would’ve lied and invented an imaginary sister or something. 
Of what I can tell (I can’t read Japanese mind you so this what I can tell to the best of my ability) there is going to be an OVA for the series that will be released on 6/1/10 in Japan. The images show Date, Sanada, the Pirate guy and the one with that big giant green ring. You know, the two characters who got the shaft in the regular series and were squeezed into the last episode! Both of them are in the SBX fighter, I’m just WAAAAY too tired to look up their names so sorry about that. 
Anyway I believe the OVA just one episode. If it happens after the anime or during the anime I can’t really say. I’m guessing it’s a little bit of both but I can’t really be sure.
I’ll toss up some pics later today if I get a free minute.
