ahh yeah, i just checked those, it seems they’re discontinued, and don’t come in many colors? does akihabara sell them maybe?
Before they were discontinued, all colors were available.
Now the limited colors you see are old stock.
AkihabaraShop.jp does not have anymore.
I bought the last ones.
Try flipping the nut around the other way if it’s a particular one you’re having problems with…if it’s all of them, I guess hunt down some ps-14-k’s in the color you want.
For my stick, I created a paper “washer” out of some spare cardstock (around 180gsm). Helps keep the buttons in place.
hmm, now I’d like to see if rubber bands wrapped under the nut would work too… lol
HI, new here just wanted tio kno which are more sensitive, sanwa, seimitsu, hori or crown buttons? if you can answer it in term of 1 to 10, 1 being most sensitive…
thanks in advance.
- sanwa obsf/n 30
- sanwa obsf/n 30RG
- Crown buttons in general imo
- Seimitsu 14 -G
- siemitsu 14- GN,KN, PS -15 all about the same to me
- Happ competition/horizontal pushbuttons
- Yenox happ knock off buttons
That’s just my opinion. Don’t be thrown, the amount of force used to activate the different buttons isn’t that much of a diference.
which are the best 30mm seimitsu buttons to buy i have seen on lizardlick they have the Ps-14k buttons
http://www.lizardlick.com/pages/pushbuttons.shtml
what it says about the buttons " We have a limited supply of these now discontinued snap-in translucent pushbuttons with a vertical microswitch. 30mm in diameter, with .110" lugs… Once they are gone, they are gone…"
im guessing these are super rare and must be good but i just wanna know whats considered the best seimitsu buttons
anyone know where i can get a replacement restricter gate for my te? octagon would be perfered
The really is no best seimitsu button. The Skeleton pushbuttons are indeed rare. LL is the only place i can remember seeing them. in terms of feel i’d guess they’re the same as the ps-14-GN/KN /ps-15 buttons. Just because a button costs more doesn’t mean they’re better. The KN and DNC buttons cost more because they come with a clear plunger you can put art inserts under, the skeleton buttons cost more because they’re out of print. I personally prefer in ps-15 and ps-14-gn

Skeleton refers to both PS-14-K and PS-14-KN.
Laugh.
Eh well i always called those particular buttons skeleton and the other clear tops. You all know what i meant.
ok which seimitsu 30mm buttons would you recommend buying from here
http://www.lizardlick.com/pages/pushbuttons.shtml
was going to get the Seimitsu PS-14-K 30mm Pushbutton since there rare
This thread should be sticky’d
Just get whichever ones look good to you.
Seimitsu buttons feel like Sanwa about halfway down the button press and Happ the rest of the way. This is neither good or bad. Seimitsu have a shorter throw than Sanwa. This is neither good or bad. As others said, it’s all about how you play your games. I play chargers and partition alot so Seimitsu is perfect but it depends on how you play and what you are trying to accomplish…
If it’s really that much of a problem (the nuts loosening) then I might suggest using some Loctiteon them. I would recommend the Blue version as it’s less permanent though it like the other colors seems to carry a warning about using it on plastic. However it’s still probably one of the better options for a more permanent installation.
Thanks for the info! Was alot of help.
if you’re having trouble with just 1 nut coming loose, you could always try and find a 2nd to jam under the first one.
So just how pinkish are Red Pearl Seimitsu buttons supposed to be? Because I ordered some red peal buttons and they look really really pink.
