The Sanwa and Seimitsu FAQ

before you buy another spring, open up the stick and stretch out the stock spring by about half an inch or so, then put it back in. this method is obviously the easiest and is free so try it out before looking for another spring.

Yeah you can do exactly what funkP said west. If that is not going to do it, try going to lizardlick and buy a seimitsu ls 32 spring. I recommend if you try out the ls 32 first and if its not stiff enough, then insert the jlf stock spring inside the ls32 and you should have it pretty stiff.

gracias!

no problema pana. You going to the gamefrog my nugga?

I recently put a JLF-TP-8YT in the Hori T6 PS3 Stick. It’s the fourth or fifth joystick of that model that I use, I never had any problems with it.

But now, the joystick behaves kind of strange: when I hold a direction and let the stick go, it “jumps” to neutral, but it touches the microswitches on the opposite sides :frowning: example: I hold down+right, let go, the input reads left or up (seems random). This occurred right from the start.

How do I fix it?

Is there anything I have to change when I install a LS 32 01 inside an SE

Nothing.
Well the LS-32-01 PCB has to be rotated to have connector point to right.

also need to plug in harness upside down from JLF clone… if I’m not mistaken.

That is right.

Hey, I have a quick question about the LS-32-01, I know that if you’re putting one in a SE you have to just unscrew the mounting plate and rotate 90 degrees and reconnect the 5 pin connector upside down, but what I’d like to know is it the exact same procedure with the TE?

Yes.

For the PS-14-KN - what is the diameter for the cutouts for the art? Same question for the 24mm.

Also, anybody troed painting the plungers on a KN for a different color combination? I’ve got an idea or two…

I measure 21.70mm for it.
Do not have PS-14-DN(???) to measure.

For both Xbox360/PS3 Madcatz TE’s… Can the Sanwa Denshi joysticks & buttons be swapped between the two? Like if I take the Joystick out of a 360 TE Stick and throw it into a PS3 TE stick will it still work? I’m assuming so.

Thanks

Yes.

Even between SE, and between SE and TE.
Even HRAP, and even HRAP and SE and TE.

Even a Custom Arcade Stick.
Can also be Wii, or GameCube or even Dreamcast.

Can be anything.

Thanks.

hey guys, sorry if this was asked before and im kind of new at this but can you put the sanwa microswitch into a seimitsu button? wouldnt that insure the sanwa style sensitivity with the seimitsu look and feel? seems interesting.

Standard Sanwa Button Microswitch, which is the SW-68, only go into the 24mm Seimitsu Buttons.
And only the special 30mm Seimitsu Buttons; PS-14-K, PS-15, PS-14-P.

Sanwa RS-SG Microswitch, which are from the heavy-duty RG Buttons, can go into 30mm Seimitsu Buttons.
But they will not be perfect.

Fits, but the Microswitch Actuator does not match the Plunger Slot.
