Hmm if rs-sg switches feel different and are 410 Yen each which is more than the button, then hopefully someone has experience with both before I start buying and hoping for the best
thanks very much ive learn alot
Button Response
Ok so from what I have read the Sanwa buttons have the most sensitivity but my requirement is the button with the biggest spring back to neutral. Essentially I want the button that can read two hits in a row the fastest. Maybe something with more resistance, harder spring?
Sanwa buttons can input 2 hits in a row pretty easily. They activate very easily. Hell you might get 4 hit inputs when trying to get 2. lol
Yes, if Sanwa are super sensitive, then would not it be easier to do two super fast hits?
Since it does not require much for activate, then Button not need to be pushed down far.
And so when not needed to be pushed down far, the less travel required to activate would allow for a quicker hit the second time.
Am I thinking right?
Hey guys, anyone know where i can buy replacement micro switches for the LS-32(not -01). Trying to see how much it will cost to rebuild one. I would check the Aki Shop but theyre close as usual.
Thanks
Hm Iām sure many people have had experience with sanwa and also the PS-14-G microswitch as itās the one used in PS-14-KN and lots of people have that.
Anyone able to give a brief review comparing each one? OBSF-30 to PS-14-KN in terms of feel? PS-14-G would be ideal but I assume it would feel the same as the 14-kn
The chart on slagcoin for the buttons is fairly accurate:
http://slagcoin.com/joystick/attributes_brands.html
Even though the PS-14-G and PS-14-KN use the same switch, I find the KN to be quite a bit less smooth. The PS-14-P and PS-15 use the same switch as well but feel vastly different, with the pearl button being far superior in my opinion. Actually, I find the P to be smoother than even OSBF-30s with a very minimal decrease in engage sensitivity.
The flatness and larger surface of the G makes for a large difference in terms of feel compared with itās nutted counterpart.
Thanks Mancer!
Im planning to replace the microswitches in my JLF with cherry microswitches because they are more sensitive. I wanted to do I have to build a special plate for the cherry microswitches or do jlfās have a place where the cherry switches can be attached to for such a mod?
Just pop them Cherry Microswitches in.
No problem.
Thanks for the quick response I appreciate it. One more question. When you wire up the cherry microswitches can you plug those wires into the plastic connector in the wire harness already connected to the pcb, or would you have to take the wires from the cherry switches and solder them to the pcb.
You will wire the Cherry Microswitches directly to your Controller PCB.
For the Ground, you will give each Directional itās own Ground wire.
Or you will Daisy-chain the Ground Terminals of Cherry Microswitch together into one Ground wire for PCB.
This is all talk of Common Ground PCB of course.
So cut off the connector that originally plugs to JLF.
Then wire cut-off end to the Microswitches.
Is there a flat mounting plate available for the LS-32-01? If not, can the Sanwa flat mounting plate be used some how? I have a custom stick that was built for a Sanwa stick and I would like to use the LS-32-01 instead now without having to modify the case itself.
Seimitsu RE Mounting Plate comes default on the LS-32, LS-40, LS-40-01.
Will fit on Seimitsu LS-32-01 also.
So you can buy those Joysticks to get the Mounting Plate.
Or you can buy just the Mounting Plate itself.

Thanks for your help! But I can not find the plate alone anywhere. The sticks WITH the plate, yes. But not the plate alone. Iād really like to avoid buying a full stick just for the plate if possible.
I just listed Stores where you can buy the Mounting Plate alone.
Ugh, LL is the only domestic siteā¦ but I donāt know if I want to wait almost a month for itā¦ Thanks again for your help. Itās decision timeā¦
You can order the flat plate and in the meantime use nuts and/or washers to space the s-plate from the mounting bracket. The s-plate adds about 5mm of height (inversely, youāll need 5mm of height below the stick base).
This is a top mounting case. So the joystick would be popping up too high. Using extra washers/ nuts will only make it higher. All I can do is shave down the top of the case so the plate is flush. Either that or get a flat plate.
