good read!

I just received my aiab w/sanwa joystick and the shaft is about 2 cm longer than the one on the HRAP3. Is this due to how the joystick is mounted? Its definitely easier pulling off moves w/ the aiab due to my big hands. Any info is greatly appreciated.
After trying to play SF4 with both a LS-32 and a JLF with octo gate I have chosen the JLF. I canāt do my moves consistently with the LS32. I might try the JLF with the square gate to see if itās the gate or the joystick that is giving me trouble but as of now, the JLF won.
So i modded my SE stick with all sanwa parts. I am not in the process of gathering parts for a full custom stick and I would really like someone to accurately compare and contrast the button feel between sanwa and seimitsu. Iām pretty set on a LS-32-01 because Iād like a little more spring to the stick but I canāt decide on buttons!
Please if you have any info and any threads that I couldnāt find (i searched on here and google) please linky
Sanwas are a smooth push all the way down and more convex. Seimitsu buttons are kind of clicky. when you push them you can feel the button engage and itās a bit ahrder to push during the last mm or so of allowed travel.
I tested out the stiffness with a pocketfull of change. A dollar twenty-five in quarters set on top of the sanwa was enough pressure to make it engage. The seimitsu took two dollars and twenty five cents in quarters for the weight to make it engage. I was using 30mm snap in both for both brands.
Sorry if this has been asked time and time again but; How exactly to you replace a spring on a jlf?
Take the e-clip off with a small flathead screwdriver, then the actuator will come off and the spring goes under there
30mm Sanwa Snap in difficulty
Iām replacing my stock white 30mm Sanwa action buttons in my TE stick with the new Black/Black 30mm snap-ins, but for the life of me I canāt get the damn things snapped in completely. I havenāt had any issues getting snap-in buttons secured in the past, and the original white ones and other 30mm snap-ins I have pop in my TE without issue.
Has anyone had a similar problem with the black Sanwa snap-ins being damn near impossible to secure? Iāve been applying serious pressure, (careful) and using a flathead to indent the tabs from the underside. Iāve tried from many different angles, and the tabs seem to sink below the panel, but the button itself is just too fat, and it doesnāt āsnapā in all the way. :bluu:
EDIT: Used some fine grit sand paper to shave down the 4 plastic tabs on each side of the buttons. Much easier than forcing them inā¦ when you force in the buttons, youāre just crushing the plastic tabs anyway, so save yourself some pain and sand down the tabs.
Btw Hooligan you can check out the spring mod from here if you want to see it done.
I am going to make a custom dust washer for my next stick. It will use a JLWā¦ What diameter should the center hole be?
Is the stick on the stock Madcatz SE closer to the JLF or LS in terms of resistance, throw, etc?
Dude, I agree. I thought it was just me but the JLF seems more responsive than the LS32. I canāt pull of moves as accurately with the LS32 as I can with the JLF. I think it has something to do with the style of switches. The LS32 has a flat spring on top of the switches but the JLF has the red switch that is engaged by a black piece of plastic surrounding the shaft of the stick.
Can anyone answer that?
Also, I need some help about restrictor plates on an ls-32-01:

I have an LS-32-01 on the way, and I am also building my box before it comes. I have the dimensions of the mounting plate for the hole I have to cut for that, but I cant find any measurements for the square hole for the rest of the stick that goes underneath that. Anyone know the size of the bottom of this stick?
nope, OBSF-30s have the exclusive all black, and OBSNs have never had dark hai.
Donāt ask me why, itās the same as the history of the missing red bubbletop.
There is some normally some vertical play in the Seimitsu and Sanwa joystick. If you are noticing it then you are being too rough on the stick.

I recently bought a slightly used stock HRAP SE stick, but Iām not quite sure how good exactly are the Seimitsu PS14GX compared to PS14G. Even it says 5x in the FAQ but I have no idea what itās referring toā¦
They are supposed to live five times the lifespan of the regular switch.
(Unknown number of pushes)*(five).
Sorry if this has been answered, but I have specific detail questions that I need to ask. Googling hasnāt turned up what I was looking forā¦
Q: How do I install the quick disconnects to the wires? Do I insert a naked wire into the round rubber sleeve and crimp it with pliers to hold it into place?
Q: The Sanwa OBSN-30 has two contacts on back, does it matter which one is the ground and the signal? I canāt find a diagram that would tell me this or how to tell them apart.
