what’s more popular or what’s the predered mode ls55 or ls56? And why?
I have a question. What size hole saw do I need to buy to do recessed holes for the 24mm and 30mm Seimitsu buttons? I already have 24mm & 30mm hole saws for them if I want to top mount them…what I need is a hole saw size that would allow the WHOLE button to fit inside of it. Thanks in advance for any help given!
Does anyone a recommendation for a good “beginner’s stick,” if such a thing exists? I’m fairly new to fighters in general and looking to build my own stick, but I don’t know what stick to buy. I’ve already decided on Sanwa/Seimitsu for the ball top, but after that I’m not sure.
I’m afraid of going top-of-the-line right away because I’m scared I won’t have anything to graduate to once I get better, and I’m not sure if getting a stick that’s too sensitive will hurt me rather than help me because I’m not a pro.
Also, I’m looking to keep costs down almost as much as I can, but if I have to choose, I’ll pay more before I go with a crappy stick.
Any help anyone can give is much appreciated.
Dont screw around, just get a Sanwa JLF or Seimitsu LS32 and sanwa or seimitsu buttons.
The Sanwa JLW might be considered a “beginner” stick. but its not nearly as nice of a joystick and doesn’t really save you that much money
It took months or even years for one to master his stick and become one with it, think of it as a sword for a warrior in his life time, he will not get a rusty but a sharp and edgy sword.
Replacing a bad and cheap stick which has been used for years with a quality stick is very very hard process, it is not like buying a new car or anything. It will take your hand too much time just to get comfortable with the new stick after using the cheap stick for a very long time.
I say get JLF-TP-8Y-SK and go on with your life.
Waddup yall, I got a jlf question.
I got a hrap version b.
I want to completely replace the JLF-TP-8Y-SK w/ a new one.
Tell me if Iam right or wrong but based on what I read I can just buy the JLF-TP-8T, rotate the pcb, add the shaft cover and Iam good to go.
Is this correct?
So that means I will have the mounting plate from the JLF-TP-8T left over…right
Also are there any tuts on how to rotate the pcb?
Thanks
Mad, all you have to do to rotate the pcb is pull off the restrictor plate… The pcb will lift right out…
I can’t remember if I have posted this in here or not, but here’s a page I put together about JLF’s…
http://lizardlick.com/pages/sanwa_jlf_faq.shtml
BTW, the JLF’s are out of stock now, but we should have more on Monday…
Thanks,
Jlf
Hey Chad…Yeah that’s a very informative jlf page. Thanks for sharing that.
Waiting eagerly till you get those back in stock. Will check on monday to place an over from you.
I know that I on the astrocity 2p side the buttons are kinda rotated out to give the people more elbow room. But my question is is the stick also rotated out to the right, or does it remain perpindicular to the horizontal axis?
It remains perpendicular to the horizontal axis.
are the plungers on OBSN and OBSF buttons interchangeable?
Just messed around with some OBSN-24s and OBSF-24s, and some OBSN-30s and OBSF-30s, to be totally sure, and yeah, they use the same plungers.
I probably need to start mentioning some exact part numbers of buttons on my site.
yea they are
nice. thanks a bunch guys.
would I be able to get an LS-32-01 so the switches are on the board, and just swap out the S-Shaped mounting plate to a flat mounting plate without any issues? From the images online it looks like the holes are the same holding them together but I’d like to be 100% sure before I purchase anything. Sorry if someone asked this already, which is very possible.
You can switch out the mountingplate on a LS-32-01 for a flat-one, no problem.
I need to know if anyone can get my some pics for a LED mod ( guts perspective) of LEDs inside of a snapin and KN style pushbuttons
I looked at keyboard-like buttons:
- Sanwa MJ-4
- Seimitsu JB-35
- Seimitsu JB-20
Are they keyboard sized?
How would I mount them?
They’re typically used for Mahjong controls. The size is shown in the catalog. The switches are snap-in mounted on a metal panel underneath the top panel at the correct distance so the plunger fits the cutout on the top panel. Usually the switches have PCB terminals and are soldered to a PCB but switches with tab terminals (for quick disconnects) can also be used.

Can someone identify the sticks and buttons used in these videos? I was going to make a thread about it but figured I post here first.

Thank you. I can’t identify sticks at all, although I think it’s either Seimitsu or Sanwa.
