Got a question:
How easy is it to replace the balltop on a Sanwa/Seimitsu stick with another top (say, bay)? Do you have to open up the case or can it just be unscrewed somehow?

I donāt think it can be done without opening up the caseā¦ I replaced the red balltop of my Sanwa JLF with a white Seimitsu LB-39 bubble ball top yesterday. You pull out the actual āstickā part of the stick (heheh).
You just hold the stick with a flathead screwdriver and unscrew the balltop.
Again is the 49 indeed a 45mm balltop?
Yes, it is.
And as Bob, said, you donāt have to remove the whole stick, just have to have access to the bottom of the joystick so you can use the flathead to unscrew the old top and to tighten the new one.

Please bare with me Iāve searched for weeks and I think my question might be answered with a previous post just help me confirm here goes. Iām looking for a stick that is very close in feel to a HORI fs3 I was thinking the ls-33 of seimitsu since someone stated it has the lightest spring although I was not able to find one so I ordered a ls-32 if someone has a better suggestion please let me know thanks for any responses.
Iām modding an agetec case to fit a Sanwa JLF. You donāt use the mounting plate, so youāre screwing in the top of the stick directly to the case. However, thereās very little clearance between the top of the stick to the PCB layer. It appears the solder points on the top of the sanwa PCB are touching the screws. Should I find thinner or insulated nuts, or will the nuts touching the solder points not affect anything?
Hereās a diagram:
Hi guys, Iām working on a project and I need the newest catalogs for both Sanwa and Seimitsu. Can someone please help me out?
PDF version would be appreciated. Thanks!
first video, update soon. I buy suitable dynamometr with lever (is better than hook)
JLF
result differs from old schedule but I altered the point of applying. I measure from centre balltop (old point is shaft end)
one problem - I sold models LS33, LS55, LS56:P
Use countersink screws and mount them so that the screw heads are below (facing the JLF PCB) and the nuts above:

Here I used M4x14 torx countersink screws and flat washer, spring washer, hex nut on the other side. The solder points on the PCB donāt touch the screw heads at all (sorry no pics of that).
I personally use the other 4 holes (the ones used to connect to the mounting plate. That way you donāt need to buy additional nuts or screws and donāt have to worry about any other problems.
I have them. They are large (134MB and 68MB, respectively) so I donāt know the best way to get them to you. Give me your e-mail. I think gmail allows attachments that large. I will send them later after work.

Paik, if you can send it to me as well, Iāll be very appreciated!
Email the Sanwa catalog to my email: fco.benitez1 [at] gmail
Thanks!
Thanks to Per, Iāve updated post #1 of the thread to have the newest catalogues. They are uploaded to the AkihabaraShop.jp site. You can also find the links in the AkihabaraShop.jp thread in Tech Talk.
Thanks, Per!

Thanks for the helpā¦
I looked everywhere for an answer for about 5 days and one day I spent 8 hours. I actually got the seimitsu ls-32 it seems almost perfect for what I was asking for really soft spring with a shorter throw than an actual hori but very nice fill very close to a Hori just a little more solid once again thanks for the help(not by responding obviously but for your guys threads that actually led to this choice of stick)I figured this original question belonged here since itās the sanwa seimitsu thread but if not will someone let me know thanks.
Thanks for the help, ShinMagus, Bob, Paik. (@ several posts above)
Hello, does anyone have an expanded view/diagram of SanwaOBSF-30 and JLF sticks? Please let me know!
With actual measurements/blueprints etc. Thatād be VERY appreciated.
I have no idea what you mean by expanded view/diagram but the catalogs already have schematics with measurements on them.

Thanks Paik, I saw those, I was just wondering if there was something more detailedā¦
i read in a post that was just closed that they have an octogonal restrictor fo the ls56. is this true? also i have dl the seimitsu catalog but i cant read japanese so i cant really tell the difference between all the seimitsu sticks. i know the 32 is most popular and the 56 is the stiffest but can anyone give me an indepth breakdown on the differences between the seimitsu sticks.
We sell it in our shop (Octagonal restrictor for LS-33/55/56):

It takes a long time to explain the smallest details.
We have a video of the Seimitsu joysticks:
