Either of the ways previously stated. I think intertwining worked best, but I hate strong springs so I took the extra spring off immediately and proceeded to call Per an idiot. Haha.

Well, I didnt say everyone whould like it. Ill make a video of how to do it so EVERYBODY understandsâŚ
I have a question regarding the relative resistance of Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y and Seimitsu JP-32. I have arthritis in my hands so a very light touch helps. The shorter throw and smaller dead zone of the Seimitsu attracts me, but itâs not clear just how much more force is required for it. Well, itâs 50g more, but what does that mean?
The only sticks I have for comparison at the moment are Hori ones. I have an old PS Fighting Stick and a PS3 Fighting Stick 3, both of which I believe have Hori sticks. The FS3 is a bit heaver than Iâd ideally like. I have OBF-30 buttons if that is any help.
I mostly play shooters, with a bit of Guilty Gear and SF.

You will want a Seimitsu stick as you mostly play shooters. Seimitsu sticks are good for shooters and fighters unlike Sanwa ones, which only work well for fighters. Some of the Seimitsu sticks have light springs while others have stiff ones. The LS-32 is generally considered to be âthe bestâ and the LS-33 has the lightest spring.
Thanks EvilSamurai. I was looking at the other Seimitsu sticks available, in particular the LS-33 and LS-55/56. Itâs a pain that the mountings are not genericâŚ
Anyway, they are described as being more compact than the LS-32, but with a longer shaft. Does that mean they have smaller bases but a longer shaft to compensate? I.e. you need less depth to mount them. If that is the case, the looser feel is probably down to the longer shaft creating more leverage. Bigger movement, but less force, like a sea-saw or spanner.
I read that SNK apparently use the LS-40 in their cabs, which seems odd because generally people seem to think the lighter touch but greater movement on the Sanwa sticks suits fighters more, which would make the obvious choice the LS-55/56.
They have longer shafts than the LS-32 as they are mounted slightly below the control panel like the Sanwa JLF is. The LS-32 is mounted right under the metal.
The LS-56 requires the most force to engage of any Seimitsu stick. You can go to Kowalâs website (You will have to use a machine translator such as www.systransoft.com to translate it from polish) to see the force required to engage basically every model of Joystick worth buying along with their throw and engage distances.
Whatâs the thickness of the terminals on the OBSF microswitches? 0.02" or 0.032"?
Okay, well I think Iâll go with the LS-32 then. A lot of people say itâs better for 2D fighters anyway. Thanks for the advice.
0.02" (0.5mm). 0.032" (0.08mm) disconnects definitely donât work well on them (too loose).
Is the green balltop from a Seimitsu LS-32-01 the same color as the green sanwa buttons?
And if they arenât, can you put a green balltop from sanwa on that seimitsu stick?
Yes.
Anyone here know if itâs possible to put a Seimitsu LS-56-01 shaft on a LS-32-01 Base?
no
LS32 steel shaft 10mm
LS56 steel shaft 9mm (JLF-9mm)
Just to have it on record for anyone reading through this thread in the future, the Seimitsu LS-32 does not have a weak restrictor plate.
Just wondering if someone can help me out here. Iâm interested in replacing my LS-55 with an LS-56, and Iâve got a few questions:
Can someone confirm the LS-56 shaft length is the same as the LS-55?
Can I use the square restrictor (the white piece) and switches from an LS-55 on an LS-56?
How comparable is the throw of an LS-56 to an LS-32 or LS-40? I want something with a short throw and engage!
And finally ⌠I find the JLFâs balltop and shaft rotate freely in normal play (by that I donât mean the balltop has unscrewed, just that everything turns in normal play ⌠SimplyGriff mentioned the same thing a few pages back). Because I tend to hold the balltop quite loose it sometimes ârollsâ out of my grasp. Now, this isnât so much of a problem on an LS-32, and it isnât a problem at all on an LS-55 (where the shaft/balltop need a lot of force to turn). Iâm just wondering, does the balltop/shaft on an LS-56 rotate loosely like a JLF, or is it more like the LS-55?
Thanks!

Kowalâs website has the answers to most of your questions.
Just a question along the way:
When did Sanwa and Seimitsu introduced their latest line of sticks and buttons? (In what year) because somehow i feel it was from a long time ago about 10 to 15 years!!
Although Kowalâs site has alot of useful information, some of these stats seema little bit odd to me (The LS-55 requiring less force than the LS-32 for example), so Iâm asking for a second opinion.
I will be buying a newtonmeter with hook so I can test it and maybe Ill convert to grams/pounds so verybody understands :).
I have a dumb question. Are the Seimitsu LB 49âs 45mm in diameter? Since I went to the 45mm balltops I cant go back to the standard size at all.
