Yes, this event will continue to be held at the spitfire. However, there are other regular events being held at minor-friendly venues in the area. Check the threads for Gamebreakerz, Gameclucks and Lunchbox Battles for details. Or, if you’re on facebook, you can join the Northwest Street Fighter group and get updates on events in the area.

God damn the PNW needs to get off the 360… I don’t want to have to dual mod all my sticks. So annoying. =/ Guess I won’t be attending this one either.
Not coming to an event just because you don’t have a 360 stick seems silly. There’s so many nice people coming out to these that you shouldn’t have any trouble borrowing a stick if you ask nicely.
Plus, why would you need to dual mod ALL of them? One would seem sufficient enough.
I would likely have brought about 3-5 friends, and none of us have 360 sticks… so when I mean “all of my sticks” I mean, “all of our sticks.” Sadly, it seems like that’s going to be the only option going forward, as the NW seems to be 360 only outside of everyone I play with weirdly enough.
Yeah, its kind of a strange thing. I mean I know of a few tournaments that go straight 360, but its a really hard thing to do now a days, you have EVO pretty much forcing PS3, which isn’t a great thing because games lag on it (sometimes visibly (seeKOF)) but most people seem to have 360’s. Plus you are in MSFT country :-p

I’m getting (another) new stick soon and will throw a paewang in it instead of a Cthulhu… If I can have it done by tourney time, I’ll join Marvel and SCV… if not I might come and spec. Will there be casuals there?

Sorry for getting these results up so late.
If you need a time, we try to start casuals for each game somewhere between 60-30m before the scheduled start time of the event which is when most people arrive for their specific games anyways. Although as soon as their are open setups and people let us know, we’ll get some discs in. Should be a lot earlier for SCV considering the only other PS3 game we run is MK. Make sure to check out their thread on 8WR too!
If you don’t mind using another person’s stick, I’m always willing to lend mine out when not in match and there are many others who do the same. I hope you make it to one of these. I’m usually the guy handling registration, so make sure to say hi!

Yeah, sliding towards a no. Dad’s friend died last weekend and I’ll be attending the viewing. I’ll try to make it out if I’m okay by the time the event starts.

Absolutely! We’ll have at least a few setups dedicated to casuals as the tournaments wind down. Even if you aren’t entering, showing up is a great way to meet people in the scene.
