Sakura’s cr.hp has an noticeable nerf from SFIV, I played against someone using Sakura and I got jump in a lot while he attempted cr.hp, it’s definitely been nerfed significantly.
It seems like we’re gonna have to get better at blocking

Also, yeah, Sakura has the best boards, second only to Tech Talk, that place is gdlk
But yeah, no longer are we toting the best AAs in the game. Just means we’ll have to spend more of the match as the aggressor and win the war on the ground.
Colours? I’d suppose that should be easy:p

not cr.hp is like vanilla again…
So far I have fought against 1 Sakura, and watched a replay w/Sakura in it. She seems like a fast character, her moves come out quick, her pokes appeared decent and her projectile seems very small/compact, but sneakable into offensive setups.
The replay Sakura was not good and damn near got perfected twice, and the one I played against was not much better, but I think that was player more so than character. I am quite looking forward to putting her as anchor to Vega when she releases.
I doubt I’ll be playing this game even with Sakura in it. The engine and the mechanics turn me off. Maybe some future update may come where it quickens the pace of this game and my opinion may change.
I have yet to buy this game because I have only recent found a full time job and my PS3 died on me long time ago. That said should I get it now or wait until Sak is out? Would there be another round of price drop or promotion?
The game’s pace is only as fast as you make it. Just like any other fighting game.

Hai guys. I’ve read that mk and hk tatsu are knockdowns (which is terrible imo), but are mp and hp shou still like in SF4? For example, could I do shou switch cancel > a grounded normal and continue a ground combo?

Nice stuff, but I’m wondering if that might be changed when they’re actually released and all the balancing changes are in order.
I guess they´re not going to rebalance them severely. I´d say they´re going after glitches like the recent Bryan restand combo. The made sure that restands are not going to be in this game at all, so this will be gone for sure at launch. Also, they can´t change them too much because of trial mode. I´m pretty sure they won´t change any trials and reverting them to their old unpatched form would be strange because no one ever got to play these (legit at least),

My first impressions.
Her cr.mk st.hk chain has so much pushback it’s insane, use this like Poison’s cr.mk st.hp, fish for launcher, I tried cr.mk/hking it with Ryu and I couldn’t reach her.
An optimal combo I found (might be better combos) post launch is, cl.hp cadc cl.hp xx hp shouken midscreen, you have to do the cl.hp really early and you might cross under when you dash so be prepared to do reverse input for shouken
For corner, you can do cl.hp xx tatsu > cr.hp xx hp shouken after launcher.
For punsh combos, from what I see, cl.hp xx tatsu > cl.hp xx lp shouken juggle > cl.hp xx tatsu > cl.hp xx hp shouken in corner is her best meterless combo so far, 365 damage - meterless
cl.hp xx tatsu > cl.hp xx ex tatsu > j.hp land > cl.hp xx tatsu > cr.hp xx hp shouken = 419 damage in corner - 1 bar
cl.hp xx tatsu > cl.hp xx ex tatsu > j.hp land > cl.hp xx mk otoshi 3 hit midscreen for 396 - 1 bar
cl.hp xx tatsu > cl.hp xx ex cadc > cl.hp xx tatsu > cl.hp xx hp shouken for 385 - 1 bar and style.
cl.hp xx tatsu > cl.hp xx hp shouken for 283 midscreen meterless.
These are the best combos I could find so far, if anyone has better combos, please post.
Her cr.hp hits too late as an AA to cancel :(, I was hoping for some cr.hp AA cadc combos.
