Wait, what?
Are you talking about the “arcade room” in sac state that has ps3’s set up with sf4?
If you don’t mind the travel, the UCD arcade is a nice place to go. I don’t see too many people on Marvel there, but there is always competition on SF4.
I’ll give you 3 tacos, a burrito, and $23.68 for it right now.
Brave posting your phone number on an open forum.
I really doubt there is a sf4 cabinet at Sac State. Seeing as how there is a vending contract with patton vending (their specialty is garbage), Sac State will never get a SF4 cabinet unless they bought it; might as well be consider the chance of that happening at 0%, especially when president Gonzalez will probably need to spend another 10k remodeling his office bathroom…
I have spoke to someone in the gameroom, and he stated that they have SFIV there. I didnt ask if it was a cabinet; so you may have me there. It could just be a console, I have never been there. Nevertheless, maybe someone who lives around there or goes to school there can check it out and let us know. If Muga can do it… maybe we can host tourneys at the SacState gameroom.
The game room died about 2 years ago. Actually it died after Sac State signed a contract with Patton Vending. Now it’s a Madden 2038/Halo 9 room.
Last I heard about Sac State is that it’s a console game room, and the reason we don’t get tournies there is for a number of reasons:
1.) No cash money prize what so ever
2.) Only students can enter the tournament (not sure bout grads)
3.) See 1. and 2.
I think there was more to the story, but i really forget the rest, but that’s the bulk of the details. I am still not sure about a venue fee either, or the hours they were asking/time of day/day. Ram had asked them a few months back and that’s kinda what they gave us (at least what i remember anyways).
I also heard about the patton vending issue (lame :arazz: ). Oh well, shit always took years to fix messed up cabs anyways, from what i heard.
The gameroom has sf4 but only for ps3 and it costs $5 an hour to play in the gameroom anyway.
if we were trying to run a tourney there then we could not have cash money as a prize. I know because i tried doing this in the begining of the semester. We could do tourneys there but with no cash money prize! so obviously that hurts the idea of throwing a tourney because no one will be interested if money is not involved.
Also, there have been some days where i bring my little Tv plus 360 to the 2nd floor union and a few people and i play sf4/hd remix up there for a few hours.

Just stick to MUGA, forget the game room its dead.
Hey ram you go to Sac state? I hang upstairs on the 2nd floor too and I’ve been looking for people to practice with XD. Let me know when you’re playing and I’ll give you some practice against a scrub (myself that is =D)
ok ill let you know
Sac State policy is to not exclude any students from entering in a tournament. Enable to insure there are no barriers, entry fees have to be removed. I also believe that all the tourneys ever hosted at Sac State require you to be a current student to even enter. You may get a free drink from java city or some random swag for winning a Sac State tourney…
But hey, Union facilities were meant for only students so it make sense.
And to think I just graduated from that backwards place. Sadly enough, I’m goin back soon. :nono:
Yeah that sounds about right.
I’ma be screwed for a little while till i find a job, so i won’t be able to hold anything or go anywhere (meybe gatherings, but no tournies  ), plus the moving… :wasted:
Anyone want to game it up this Saturday? Probably would be 6:00Pm to 11:00 PM or something. Nothing too big, just an idle Saturday.
Bad timing man I’m in a wedding.
I’m down for some practice woot!
I ain’t touched SFIV in so long. I think i’m down, count me in as always. Also Abraham is coming if I go. :lovin:
Sounds good.
