But are the action sequences better than Raid 2?
In honesty I wasn’t impressed with the first movie…too much typical japanese overacting. And the choreography was nothing to write home about. Best current film in this same vein wuxia style to me is still Reign of Assassins.
Would you guys that have seen the sequel say that it is better than the first movie?
found a torrent for the 2nd movie today.
link?
Link plz. PM dat shit.
Same here, please.
Might as well mass pm that shit because I can’t find
Edit: nvm found it on kickass
Movie is very good so far, Shishioh is pretty spot on
Gotta find me some subtitles.
It was in the link I sent you. Just rename the movie to be the same as the srt file.
Yep, already did it.
Just watched it in fact.
Now where the 3rd movie at
Is the third movie already out and subbed? O_0
I don’t think so, which is why I was asking.
I don’t think so. The DVD release is set for January 21, 2015. So there probably won’t be a ripped version until then.
Just finished watching the second movie and damn it was fucking godlike. I think they could have found a cuter girl to play Misao though… but then she’s suppose to be a teen so I guess that’d be jailbait.
Got a few questions about the differences from the anime if anyone can refresh my memory.
[details=Spoiler]
Shinamori Aoshi was supposed to be part of the first arc too right? And also, does Kenshin’s master find him on the beach in the anime too?[/details]
Not seeing the movie yet…
Spoiler
Aoshi is part of the first arc. Seijuro does not find him on the beach iirc, but I need more context with it. Is Seijuro finishing Kenshin’s training or what?
Differences…
Spoiler
No. Kenshin seeks him out in the mountains. Also, all 3 of them (Sano, Kenshin, and Saito) were present on the ship instead of just Kenshin so there’s another departure from the manga as well
I’ve said it earlier and I’ll say it again. It is definetly one of the best movies i’ve seen of this year, possibly top 5 movie adaptations for me.
The opening scene where Shishio is taunting Saito by dropping his crew in a pit of fire was just insane. My only rant is that the jupon kitana where just extras (which is reasonable due to the time constraints of the film) and I think Aoishi should have been introduced in the first film.
The second was is great too because Hiko is there and the awesome last battle. I hope they release the dvd of the second part with in Jan.
Yeah, he was supposed to be in the first one. I have no idea why they inserted some gun user dude… i think leaving Aoishi out of the first was the biggest mistake of the trilogy. It would have been more intriguing to the audience to watch Aoishi help out in taking down Shishio if he was the villain in the first part. In the series, Kenshin just went to Hiko’s place to learn the Hitten Mitsurugi technique if i recall. Allot of stuff was changed but nicely IMO… it made the whole thing more realistic, surprising, and just straight up interesting.
