Condor dive is 3 punches so it’s only one strength to dive with. He can manipulate the distance depending on what part of the jump he is currently at. So you just have to know his ranges to determine if it will whiff or not.
Something that I’ll try to do against THawk dive is pressing st.mp slightly after the dive either making contact or whiffing. If the dive connects, then you block it, the st.mp won’t come out since you’re in blockstun and you can punish him. If it whiffs, st.mp will connect.
Be amazed then, Against any UCer I land it about 85% of the time. I am still working out the kinks on the throw stuff, but that’ll come pretty quickly after coming back to the fatman.
Screw what I said before, you see him dive in at you and it whiffs just press a button lol… I was pressing St.Firece. If he’s close enough you get a free combo! And!!! If you have U2 just react to it. Just wait until he lands and when you see him land press a button. You have enough time to watch them either land or watch your guy block to press a button, just watch him land and press a button!
Thanks your advice this worked a treat, I played a bunch of T.Hawks over the weekend and I won every match! Basically by reacting to his jump ins and either jumping with him with HK or staying grounded and hitting him with ex SS or U2. Made him hesitant to jump in at me and turned the match in my favour
I need a tad help with the Sim matchup, this motherfucker makes me rage so bad on SF, I have to take a good few hours break before I can play again
Right so my problem is that when ever I get a knockdown or land the BnB, I try and apply pressure again but every Sim I play just teleports out of there, I hear teleports can be punished but I can never seem to (I’m probably just retarded). It’s ok when it’s in the corner because the bastard just eats a st.hp XX hp.GT but mid-screen, I have problems. Once he’s in the corner he ain’t going anywhere, but any tips on how to keep the pressure going midscreen and punish the teleport?
Cr. Fierce his teleports. Would HP GT option select work?
So guys I need help against Blanka, sometimes when I try to BnB (and I drop the link) the st. HP would whiff completely. Should I just use st. MP instead?
You can OS Glory Kick (df+mk) to catch both backdashes and backwards teleports. Against backdashes, it’s not as strong as sweep OS but you still are at an advantage afterwards and get a pretty strong mixup. Against a backward teleport, the df+mk gives you a free throw punish which gives even better mixup.
I hate the blanka match-up myself… Try the Mp over the HP cause it will wiff if he’s crouched.
To be honest… I just don’t waste my time using Rufus vs this match-up… I pick dudley and hold downback until Blanka screws up and i get a free U1/EX MGB punish.

I don’t understand the mp instead of hp combo. Sometimes I’ll mess up the hp plink and the mp will come out but it will combo. But when I intentionally go for the mp xx HP.GT combo it never combo’s, is the timing really strict for it or something?
That’s interesting. I’ve never had it combo accidentally or on purpose even though I tried it a few times. I had the same thing happen a ton (botching the plink and the mp comes out) so I tried it but to no avail.
