oh ok i see. yeah thats ok range… but nothing like abels, chuns, cammys, ryus, hondas, rogs ultras etc.
if i had to pick the shortest ranged ultras it would probably be rufus and chuns new one… that is what i was getting at… command grab ultras dont count… also makotos u1 is also horrible range… which is why she has setups into it… the correlation being that shorter range ultras having more setups and the longer ranged ones being more useful for wiff punishing and going through fireballs etc etc.
the big wtf on the list is ryus ultra, cause it has superior range than all ultras AND has a shitload of setups… its balancing factor is its low damage and its slowness crossing the screen.
I know that, but of course I meant from any distance cause it’s not so easy to do ex legs with the exact spacing from the corner during a match. And when it happens it’s random, so it’s not as realiable as against shotos or other characters that get full juggle every time.
No it’s not random, the range for it is anywhere from 1 character away from the corner to all the way to max range.
You’re just talking about the max range juggle, I’m not talking about that.
I’m talking about a consistent way to land ex legs, ultra on any character.
from the recent nakky blog… look at the pictures of chun and sakura with ryu’s shin shoryuken…
with almost the same ex meter, ultra meter, and ryu health damage… does chun have less life than sakura?
well, i think it’s just me… seeing as the ultra is in different phases
My mistake than. You’re saying that if I time the ultra so that the screen flashes when they’re flying 1 character away from the corner it will fully juggle EVERYONE? I’m going to try that right now.
Anyway, I’ll change my question…anyone knows if it’s now possibile to juggle everyone as easily as you can juggle Ryu or Ken in the corner? I read about that a while ago but still had no confirm from videos or from reliable sources.
So, I managed to juggle Viper in the corner for the first time yesterday (without her falling out of the juggle). From one character space away from the corner. The timing is such that if Viper and Chun were right against the corner, Chun would whiff the ultra by going under her – so you have to distance it so Chun can’t go under her. You’ll notice why she doesn’t connect the launcher and why she does is because she juggles with different parts of her ultra lightning legs.
are u guys sure kikosho did 3 dmg in that vid?? i can see the last hit of her ultra doing 9 dmg but im not so sure about the other hits. maybe it did 8 dmg?? it looked like 8 to me…
I had that same dream last night except it was a demo for a new character called Ono who had 500 Health and his special moves were to magically make all females weaker. Imagin that.
