I won’t say it’s not, but there’s a reason ST and KoF98 get rereleases. There’s dead games that are overshadowed by new game hype, and then there’s dead games that just aren’t worth going back to.
lol this guy’s got all you whiney lolsrs down to a fucking TEE!! haha good stuff my man best post ive ever read on this forum.
yeah, there will be six new characters but it’ll take a while for two of them to be finished/release. Hazama, Tsubaki and Mu are playable on release, Makoto will be DLC about two weeks after, and Valkenhyn and Platina will eventually be DLC. Makoto looks so far.
i dont see an oversaturation problem really with fighting games when so many damn shooters with the exact same concept are coming out. i see a better sense of originality in the fighting genre, if anything thats why i havnt played a FPS in so long . Hell, with all the variable fighting games coming out SRK should be embracing it instead of bitching about ten thousand different things. These games will only make the scene stronger and more enjoyable.
I don’t see the fighting games being overpopulating the market at all. I’m glad that there is a huge variety of games coming out.
Now FPSs, that is the one genre that is just overpopulating the market now. I don’t really care for FPS games at all. The only FPS games I like are the Metroid Prime games, Half Life 2, Portal, GoldenEye N64 and the upcoming sequel.
>Metroid Prime
>FPS
Son, don’t even start it.
You forget that competition is a HUGE source of enjoyment from the game. 3S is an amazing game I won’t refute that, but have you considered that his friends were just looking for something new? A whole new metagame with a vast source of players means you’re going to encounter a ton of new fighting styles. While popularity doesn’t change a games internal mechanics, it will influence the variety of it’s competition.
What do you mean? Please elaborate if you can. That is why I did not go any further into the subject since I generally do not like FPSs.
It’s a First-Person Adventure game, not shooter. Half-Life 2 and Portal could be considered those as well.
So it was natural for you to like them
Oh fuck.
During my break, SRK seems as funny as ever.
It’s a first person shooter with adventure-rpg elements to it.
Hahaha but seriously folks SF4 is a fucking terrible game and anyone who likes it is a masochistic retard of the highest caliber.

What a drama queen
I’m guessing a lot of people missed the dry spell when there were no new fighting games? I’d gladly take an over saturation now then deal with the gaping hole that was the fighting game genre. I’m in it for the long haul 'cause eventually as everything does it will get stale again and then what do we have to play?
I say 2010/2011 is one of the best times to be a fighting game fan, regardless of your personal opinion regarding a specific game. It’s better than nothing.
Hahahahahah!
Yeah, he must of decided it’s the worst game in the world about a week ago.

You’d never catch me talking about how rubbish a game is while being a regular player. My words hold more credibility than that.
Not exactly, Metroid Prime puts way too much emphasis on the adventure aspect of the game (scanning, back-tracking, cramped/wide-open environments, puzzles, etc) for it to be just called a “fps with adventure-rpg elements to it” imo
What dry spell?
Im just playing whatever until the next Guilty Gear drops. Then all the people whining about SF not being technical enough can try that out and whine about it being too hard.
I have high hopes for Mk9 and any Guilty Gear, Blazblue that Arksys releases
