I avoid clubs and bars completely. I think Neesa’s post above perfectly describes what I look for mainly. Just too many girls at parties, clubs, bars, etc are too active and wild for me, I feel like if I tried to start anything with one, it wouldnt last too long, so why bother.
Also, gotta find a girl who likes cats as much as I do, wont date a girl who is obsessive about dogs or hates cats.

I know how you feel to a certain degree. I don’t feel as socially awkward as I used to, but I still have trouble carrying long conversations with people unless we’re talking about video games and/or music, or if there’s copious amounts of booze involved.
And almost always without fail when I’m chatting with a female and it’s time to split, I forget to get their contact info and don’t realize it 'til well after (I have a tendency to space out a lot lol).
The only way to get better and up your confidence is to just go and talk to the girls! Like the saying goes, practice makes perfect, and you need to get used to the unfamiliar to make it familiar.

If only this were true lol. I went out 4 nights last week to DC and I don’t think once the ratio of women matched up to the ratio of guys there. Personally I always try and make the best out of it by talking to the girls that are there without sitting around and being a wallflower, but still you can tell what kind of effect it has on the interactions because the girls that ARE there know that their stock is higher than it should be because they are in demand and in low quantity, lol. Damn at least I know not to fuck with clubs anymore. I wouldn’t have minded going, even with shitty ratios, if they didnt make me have to open a 20$ minimum tab on drinks. Get outta here with that shit. DC bars on the other hand, are mad fun, and have much cheaper drinks.

I’d have to disagree on this one. I wouldnt get in bed with a girl just because I’m going to not get any for 5 months. I’d rather stay 5 months not getting any action than to sleep with a girl who I feel is really unattractive and uninteresting to me.
