It should be mentioned that PS-15 and PS-14-K will work with the current quick disconnects.
Am I the only one who doesnāt mind the 8 button layout? Itās not a deal breaker for me, but there are definitely tourney players who benefit from those end buttons cough viper players cough
I agree with Toodles though, main PCB at the top is just fine, but if thereās one thing they take from the TE design it absolutely should be the QD terminal strip (and yeah, somewhere close to the buttons would remove a huge birdās nest). Also, the long compartment to hold whateverthehell they want is the way to go. Giving specific inserts limits users, and if they want they can just make it a 1 partition design and sell specific inserts to customers who want specific things like spare button holders.
Trying to think of things not touched on thoughā¦ hmmā¦ to make modders happy as well as the general population, what about the compartment having removable front partitions? That way you can just make the compartment completely open for things like mounting PCBs, but if you donāt care to do that just keep the partition there to use the space as storage?
Some people just unplug the 3p and 3k buttons, and do fake button presses to bait those who like to listen in on what you are doing
I do that a lot, but people canāt do it back since Iām on padā¦ shitās funny.
This. As much as I donāt like the 8 button layout, some people do prefer the last 6 buttons. Just removing that altogether is a little extreme. And I like some of my Neo-Geo games on the top 4.
No they wonāt.

Seeing the faceplate removal, Iām thinking the logic between the two button slots is precisely to allow swapping between the 8 and 6 button layouts. Whether or not thatās practicalā¦
I think he meant that if you put sanwa switches in those seimitsu buttons.

Hereās my suggestion for the whole 6 vs 8 button deal. They should just put two extra holes on the side of the casing with button plugs. If you want just 6 face buttons, move whatever two buttons you want off to the side and move the button plugs up to the top. Itād just be nice to have the option to have 6 buttons without having to drill out the two extra holes on the side somewhere yourself.
Whats with everyone wanting to do 6 buttons with 2 on the side as a work around?
You want 6 buttons fine, patch up the 2 button holes and move on. You want buttons on the side fine, use a drill. Even with a hand held power drill this isnāt hard.
The old inside joke of 6 buttons cool 8 buttons is dick is getting old and sickining.
Look the Mad Catz SE and TE are 8 buttons, the Hori real arcade 1,2,3, EX, VX, V3 and VLX are 8 Buttons, the Sega VSHG, HSS-130 and HSS-136 come in 8 buttons. Just fricking live with it people. It is why they make button hole plugs and people make top panel replacements.
Some of us wants the 8 buttons.
Next person that speaks of 6 buttons I going to take as a troll.
Iām gonna take that risk and tell you that the EX2, FS VX/V3 and the VSHG are 6 buttons.
Actually, with Razer, they might have different versions of the same stick with just slight tweaks. There are like 10 versions of the DeathAdder, including a left hand version. Almost all their keyboards have twins, either with a gloss or a matte/rubber finish. Razer just may have 6 and 8 button versions.
Iāll volunteer as the troll then. Having eight buttons is ugly as are button plugs. Itās silly to turn this into a six versus eight thread though. Look at the Tekken cab the new TE was modeled after. Does it have eight buttons? Not so much.
I want a 1 button option, hooked up to LP. Hardcore.
Not really wanting to troll you dark, but button plugs and patching up stuff is so ugly. Iām aware of the other sticks having 8 buttons, but why canāt we have something different? If one likes a fully out the box sanwa stick with 8 buttons you already have those 6 other sticks you mentioned.
But those of us that want a clean 6 button have no recourse but to void our warranty, make our own or buy upgrades and buy 24mm drill bits and drill holes in the case to reposition them. I think they should make it 6 button default and sell an 8 button panel.
For the record Iām not saying we should get rid of the 8 button layout, but it would be nice if they had the option to move a couple of face buttons to the side so we donāt lose functionality. So maybe if they allowed for the option in the form of button plugs or removable and upgrade-able side plates? Itās just an idea for us old school guys that feel that 8 buttons on the face get in the way. The 8 button layout isnāt a deal breaker but having to cut holes in the case might be.
Iām all but certain they will sell a six button layout but where do we put the other 2 buttons? Do we just not get them with the 6 button panel?
Itās not just the fact that theyāre clear. Some of us also prefer the feel of Seimitsus over Sanwas.
I canāt help but thinkthis thing will turn out expensive as heck.

One thing I would like is a little more space between the stick and the buttons. I know itās the standard Vewlix layout but I would love too see a little more space in between the two. I find myself wanting to use the last six buttons vs the first 6 but I like the curve of the first sixā¦
