The Razer Arcade Stick Thread!

that looks much better

Ironic how this turns out to be a joystick that actually looks better WITHOUT the original artwork!!!

I don’t know what they were thinking with that snake business.

There are plenty of sticks that this applies to though.

Top of the list is the MadCatz Brawlstick. Worst artwork ever.

I have a question about the feel of the stick in respect to button pressing.

I have an SE and the Injustice stick. I put the same set of Seimitsu buttons into both, however, the feeling is much more SOLID and WEIGHTED in the SE because the top panel is metal. on a TE stick, the feeling is even more solid because its both plexi and metal.
Does it feel like the TE? or is the top panel not as durable.

This has both the metal plate and a very thick plexi on top. It’s very solid/durable.

Hey guys,

We recently launched a Top Panel design contest on our community channels, and I thought I’d drop a message here incase you guys missed it!

https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/292622_10151985260252576_1266002793_n.jpg

Basically we’re inviting you guys to download the template and create custom artwork, of which we will select 5 and put up for vote. The winner will get a brand new Razer Atrox with his or her custom artwork.

Visit this page for more info. Template download linksare in there as well!

Looking forward to seeing some crazy designs

I keep trying to submit but nothing happens.

This might be an odd question, but is there an age limit on the contest? I can’t find one on the terms and conditions.

Nope, no age limit. And if submission doesn’t work, email me at alvin.chua@razerzone.com

Joining this. The rest of y’all can just give up now.

oh Nooes, I already sent mine :stuck_out_tongue:

There was a bit of dust under the plexi on the artwork of mine so I unscrewed it and set it back on, now the plexi seems to lift a minor amount in the bottom left corner although this may have been there before, is this a common thing? My first ever stick and not a massive inconvenience but gets at my OCD a bit ><

Mmm…I think this sort of thing can happen on most arcade sticks that require screwing a plexi in place.

  1. Try loosening off all the screws first, then put some pressure against the plexi before you tighten the screws back down again.

  2. NOT TOO MUCH PRESSURE!!! - and don’t over tighten the screws…but just enough so that there is a little bit of adjusting/tightening that can be done by hand. and try to adjust them all about the same turn until they are snug, and can no longer be tightened by hand - but can’t be loosened by hand.

  3. After that…POP OFF because you got a bad ass stick!!!

…keep your chin up that my advice works…otherwise revisit the problem by loosening off all the screws again…and look a little harder to see what else could be lifting the plexi…?

In most cases, I’d say that the over-tightening of the plexi screws is what causes this problem.
Secondly, I’d say overheating the areas where your hands are most of the time can warp a lower grade plastic or plexi…but usually returns to it’s normal state when cooled if it’s screwed down.
And lastly, just good ole’ fashion defect…if there isn’t a lil’ something obstructing the plexi.

Good luck bruv!!!

Cheers man, I did try loosening it all etc, I’ll probably take it fully apart over the weekend and give it another whirl, it is a minor annoyance that doesn’t affect how I play but it was quite a big purchase for me so like it being right

Anyone know if it is possible to mod this for PS3?

A lot of us beta testers in SRKTT dual modded ours already

Does it cause the inside to become messy or can it be done fairly neat and not causing a reduction in the aesthetic value of the stick?

Don’t suppose you could link me to a guide?

Aw good, you saved that image Mr. Mortified. I forgot what I did with mine after I did my mod.
But I did my Mod based on what Gummo did.

@Purdy
On the bottom image (top of the board) see the D- and D+ solder points.
There are some 0 ohm, resistors there, you have to remove them for this mod to work.

To stick the Cerberus to the original Razer PCB you have to use either glue (like hot glue) or self adhesive double sided foam mounting tape.

from the picture, so on the hinge it has a spring too, together with a gas strut?
