The Razer Arcade Stick Thread!

How do you expose the PCB?

Its four screws on the honeycomb that pops the cover for the PCB.

I had forgotten about this until Razer made their most recent Facebook update, was prodding them on their page for more info occasionally to see what was happening but I didn’t hear much until now.

I put in a suggestion for the possibility of having Cherry MX type buttons but Milkshark took care of that for us, so all that’s left is for me to get these buttons in there!

Really hoping I (or at least someone in/around London UK) gets accepted into this beta.

Hmmm… not seeing any e-mail that appears to be the one to look out for. Maybe it’s 'cause I expressed my frustrations about the time it took?

It would be nice to have gotten a email noticification bit 200 seems like they should be done with beta testers. Chances are for parts should be all Sanwa to make everyone happy

I would not suspect otherwise. Sanwa is the status quo, like 8 face buttons has become. Razer is playing it safe with a few cool tweaks.

Lol not sure about the conditions of beta testers but I would have to sink in some case for a 6 button plexi and Seimitsu equipment. Its all good, a local modder here has got his email noticefication(so jelly~)

you can mod it …its yours lol

Hell yea we can! First thing I am doing when I get mine is seeing how/if the top panel comes off so I can make an Astro 6 button panel. Second is to see how plexi support will work with this stick.

can i has an astro plz?
i want one for mine

Sure thing I will let you know the progress when I am working with it.

Damn, I wish I received an email notification!!! Looks like I’ll be putting some graphic time into lesser known sticks I’ve ordered…unless someone puts a good word in for me haha~

I’d definitely order a Noir or Astro city top from blklightning if I got one…that and going to mr. mortified for a dual mod(and possibly LED install)

i want to put a optical gate on mines sooooooo bad lol

Yes, there are four screws holding a plastic cover over the PCB on the honeycomb.

We encourage and support modification of the Razer Arcade Stick externally and internally including changing the buttons, joystick and top panel. We made it as easy as possible to access the inside of the Arcade Stick and even made the structure on the inside as moddable as possible. At the same time we wanted to allow as much modding while still keeping the benefits of the Razer warranty, and this is why we covered the PCB. It is still easily accessible via the four screws but once you remove the PCB cover you are doing advanced modding which is not covered under warranty.

So where is the best place to mount a Neutrik USB or RJ-45 jack without losing Start or Back?

Come on, it should be pics overload in here by now! These beta testers are slackin’…

maybe because the sticks haven’t been shipped out yet?

not shipping until first week of september

That’s no excuse…

You are right. Don’t let razor know I posted this picture, but here is a picture of my razor setup that my roommate took. That way I can be in it too.
