Ok,Your post just reminded me 50 did try a southern style on “Blood Hound”,I usually skipped that joint.Power Of The Dollar vs GRODT is tough tho…thats like Low End Theory vs Midnight Maruaders. They both have there moments…I just thought about NYC should be pass that KONY thing now.I gotta take back NYC is dead, cuz I forgot all about Action Bronson and Mayhem Lauren

Also man the best way to build up credit is by having things in your name. For example your cell phone bill. If the phone is in your name and you pay it every month in full then that helps your credit, also having a credit card and being smart with it. What I mean by that is I use my credit card strictly for travel, or for certain incentives (like if I get a discount for using my credit card). But I have the cash in hand and I turn around and send my payment thus I save a couple of bucks and am paid up. Also you may want to look into switching a low cost utility bill to your name which (like my water bill is only 15 bucks a month at most) which will also help you to build up your credit…

I dont have sickle cell but im going to try and eat like this,P talking to a kid about eating healthy and dealing with sickle cell:

I don’t like it when niggas like triple agent start calling everything cooning with giving examples that word is getting thrown around too much in hiphopncircles nowadays to the point niggas saying that shit to any nigga who raps about hood shit from the south.if flocka a coon so is beanie sigel and the game

  1. How bad are your ‘events’/symptoms (whatever is PC)?

  2. Bartending is JUST like waiting tables money wise. The better the establishment for it - the more money to be made, but also the harder it is to get that position. You’ll need to go to school for it, which isn’t ‘expensive’ per say but does rquire start up capital. If you can find a spot that is near a bunch of College campuses that stays packs on party nights - Thurs-Sat - then yo ucan get some good money. But a half nekkid chick selling the same vodka as you will still make 3 times more.

  3. Building up credit is sorta based on where yo uare ‘now’ with credit. for me, I had to clean up my credit before I could worry about building it up…ironically I just applied for a couple credit cards because…well I need them to build up credit. If you DON’T have any credit, if you DON’T have any debt, you need to get a credit card. You don’t need to get a big one and you don’t need to ‘wear out the magnetic strip’, simply use it for something like groceries or gas, ad pay it off before the end of the month. Over time they’ll offer you more money/etc…you’re on your way to building up more credit. Another way is to buy services and the such like ‘a new mattress’ - and flooring - what I just did before my son got here. You take a hit for the loan, but as it gets paid off ON TIME or EARLY your score will recover or improve…best of all, doing everything on time or early will often net you NO INTEREST…so no money lost.

  4. If you want to build house, you’re talking major credit and major money. It’s possible without a degree, but wil lbe harder (IMO). Unfortunatly in this day and age - you could have a degree and end up working the fries at Wendy’s - so not having a degree can make things a little difficult. Your best opion in my opinion would be to look for an intern position at a growing company. You’ll have to bust your ass, but you’ll get money, you’ll make personal and professional relationships, they may help pay for schooling, and it gives you an ‘in’ to long term positioning. The downside is you’r competing with college students and folks without a job, but its doable…I know as I’ve watched folks do it where I am.

As always good luck homey.

I mean cooning as in presentation, not particularly content. I don’t like T.I., especially how exaggerates his drawl and slurs on purpose.but he is articulate and intelligent, and I respect him for that, despite his content. Plies, on the other hand…well, he is cooning personified. I’m sure you heard the Jamie Foxx/Plies story. If not, your jaw will probably drop. And Flocka, I ignore him too much to know about him, his mother seems hood and ignorant, so maybe that’s just their situation, but I won’t pretend to know. But it’s not an “Anti-South” thing. Hammer was a coon to me, just like Bo$$, and all the fake, trying too hard gangsta era rappers. Bo$$ was actually talented though…

I say Onyx was cooning in the Bacdafucup era…I mean @ 56 and 2:09 until end…straight cooning:

I don’t like the word coonin’ by the loose definition it has, but I will say that Plies prolly applies to every possible definiton and variation of the word including singular, plural, past, present, future, possesive, etc.

But ya know what…I sorta feel that way about Ross…not to the same degree or the same way - but the whole this is how I am in real life, but I’m going to put myself in this light to make more money, at a degredation to people similar to me - kinda way. And no shots are being fired, its like Plies comes off as a dumb nigga…period, yet you talk to him and he sounds educated and intelligent apparently…not hood or nuthin’. Ross went from Protecting the law to talking about nothing but breaking it. I’m not arguing the rights/wrongs/musical impacts of it…just sorta see a similaity between the two. Shit is like Abraham Lincoln abolishing Slavery while owning some himself.

i just want to agree that plies is cooning personified.

newsflash, most people (myself included) think canibus sucks.

I’m an Onyx fan, and I’ll give you that, they were overdoing it, and Unreal is dead on about Ross, too. I think my biggest problem with trendy “South” (for lack of a better term) cooning is the racial and social implications, it makes me uncomfortable as a black person. Besides how garbage their Hip-Hop is to me.

lol Dr. dont act like P said anything you havent heard before.

speaking of P though this is pretty dope … until P finishes then the other two dudes are wack.

^thats why I like Onyx after Bacdafucup,Def Jam was kinda wack besides Red,Mef,LL,Warren G,Domino at that time…remember Flatlinerz?

@Maiden, P put that ish in dunn lango .we need P to be on Barney

i always check the blogs, but i rarely actually listen to any of the shit they post. but my boy hit me with a link to this joint by asap rocky, shit is hard as fuck some real new york shit.

Song is dope, this is the type of ish I would’ve pictured Bone doing in 2011 in 95.Bout to peep more of this dude.

I’m going back to school next year, I’m just trying to find a decent paying job that will help sustain me as I attend university. My symptoms for the most part are stable, my major issue is fatigue. I don’t want to build a house anytime soon, that’s something way down the line, after a family and all that. Chances are I’ll buy an existing house first and build sometime down the line when my money is right and I know I can afford what I want.

Well IMO the BEST thing would be finding an internship in you major/interest while you’re in school. Not easy nor garunteed, especially in this day and age, but that would be option #1. You mentioned Pharmaceudicals or something like that, I’m psotivie that if you made the move to Howard - the DC area would have SOMETHING that would be of use. And no I’m not trying to push Howard, just giving an example of what to look for, don’t pick the swchool off just school in your situation, make sure its beneficial in other ways.

I finally have a working design for my new stick [rozay]wooooooo[/rozay]

I can’t leave right now, my mother is sick, she has cancer, I have to be close to home, so I’m going local, I’m going to school to become a registered dietitian (dietetics is the degree name)as I stated before I want to go to graduate school at GSU because I want to experience life in Atlanta. If I like it I’ll also attend my PhD courses there also.

My grandmother on my dads side has connections with people at one of the Hospitals here, she’s gotten my cousins jobs in the past, so I may have to look into her helping me find work. She has connections in the city period on finding decent jobs.

Song of the day:
