I just read Technics are going to stop making their turntables.Yes I understand vinyl isn’t selling like that.But why are programs like Serato out then?Wasn’t that like bridging the gap between analog and digital?Well,I can’t say too much about it.Since I see Some of older people in the hip hop community fail to educate the younger poeple.I went to this store a few weeks ago and these 2 kids maybe they were like 16-18,but anyway they were playing this classic rock station and they knew EVERY SONG that came on word by word.They know their history.I used to strictly blame the younger people for being ignorant and stuck up towards hip hop history.But the more I attend these “family gatherings” or whatever I see that older people are feeding into alot of this BS.Most of these people I see are damn near 50 years old doing the Soulja Boy or dancing to that Cupid song “Down Down Baby”.Im not hating or nothing like that,but c’mon on now we’re losing our history more and more everyday.Not getting on no black and white bs since I beleive it’s all one blood.peace
Yeah the technics thing was announced a while ago. The timing is ironic as vinyll has made a come back in 09 and looks pretty bright 2010.
