Relapse and Infinite were both solid to me. And SSLP, MMLP, and ES are all classics in my eyes so word 5/6. I would take MMLP over BP anytime. Skipping nothing>> then skipping Hola Hovito. I got more stretched fuckery than that tho if you wanna be entertained. But I would love an album of all U Don’t Know-ish songs, but shit prob won’t sell even with Jay’s name on it. No chart toppers.
Flashback of the day: Jin Feat. Kanye West- I Got A Love I love '04 Kanyetutha production.
eminem-Dre, kon artist, himself
hov-Kanye, neptunes, rick rock, just blaze, 9th wonder, timbaland, swizz beats, primo etc.
jay gets first pick whenever those dudes put out new beat. If jays wasn’t making good albums for this long with those producers there would be something wrong with him.
Do you know how much is costs to get a top quality producer or even another high quality rapper to get on a song with you?
Wasn’t Wayne getting like 700k per song he was on in '08?
And EM’s production IS the issue. Relapse sounded like one big fat fucking song.
i guess you have to mention infinite when talking about em’s disco, i usually don’t but whatever…em has 3 classic albums (slm shad, MMLP, em show), 1 borderline classic/great one (relapse), 1 decent but bad by his standards (encore) and then 1 relatively wack one (infinite). i keep 4 em albums in rotation more or less at all time.
comparatively, jay’s catalog is crazy uneven. the only albums that MOST people agree on as his best are BP and RD (i disagree, but whatever) and then on the other end of the spectrum you got the ones that most think are lacking (dynasty, KC, bp2, vol 3) and in between you have a bunch of stuff that people like to various degrees. i know personally, the only hov albums that i’m bumping regularly are the black album, dynasty and BP.
jay def has a bigger catalog, but i don’t really see how you can say it’s better in any way unless we’re just talking about the size.
Yeah… if you say something stupid, I’m gonna call it out.
Saying that Jay’s albums are better because he can afford better producers, is saying that Eminem cannot afford those same producers.
That is a retarded statement.
Also, I’m pretty sure Wayne wasn’t charging $700K in 08. He was one fucking everybody’s songs in 08. I strongly doubt Shop Boyz’ entire budget was even $700K. No way they’re paying $700K for Wayne to hop on their remix. Wale had Waned on his mixtape in 08. No way that nigga paid $700K. I’m really not sure where you pulled that number from.
And again… even if you wanna site Em’s production as the issue… realize how ridiculous that is. He basically has an unlimited budget when making an album. He is under Dr. Dre. … Andre Young… Dr. Dre…
Dr Dre beats get old VERY fast. YOu keep saying “He has dre” It doesn’t Matter. LISTEN TO RELAPSE AS I SAID BEFORE ITS THE SAME SHIT.
Jay has WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more money than em
more money = more options duh.
Oh I added an extra ‘0’ for wayne. 100k per verse(75k was the bare minimum). That’s just a verse. How much would you think an exclusive hot beat and studio time with a good producer would cost let alone multiple.
ok you’re sounding mad dumb. check the liner notes on an eminem record, dude doesn’t have a non-A list producer on any of his albums with interscope. if you were comparing reasonable doubt to infinite then ok.
em is the highest selling rapper of all time and on the biggest record label with the most legendary producer and you think he doesn’t have options…musically? not to mention that if you’re a rapper, eminem is probably the biggest feature that you can get on any given record. the only thing jay could do on a record that would be unavailable to eminem would be to have beyonce singing on his records.
Dips had hotter beats than most of what I’ve heard from Em for the past 5 years. Even Cam and Vado nowadays with much less money get better beats from Arab Muzik than Em’s last album.
Lets be real chaps, Relapse sucks. Although that freestyle has got me checking Em’s next joint now. This year overall is looking like a solid year for hip-hop. I am checking for Nipsey and Ice Cube albums the most.

That joint has that smooth vibe perfect after a night surviving the streets. Will be picking up their joint.
Kayroh, you’re sounding wild ignorant right now. Step back for a second and look at Eminem. He’s the highest selling rapper of all-time. Do you know what that means? That means that producers pray to Jesus/Allah/Buddha/Tom Cruise/Oprah every fucking night that he might call them up asking for a beat. Eminem chose not to use producers outside of himself and Dr. Dre. Just Blaze has been giddy as fuck about the fact that he got to work with Em. Also, at Wayne charging $500k + for a feature. You honestly think Lloyd paid Wayne over a million dollars to hop on “You” and “All Around The World”? Sure you right…
Eminem, over the course of his career, has hurt his albums in 3 ways. The first being that he hasn’t switched up his production. It lasted for awhile, but Relapse was so fucking repetitive production-wise that I wanted to (Shout out to Thurst) after a week. The second, is that he makes too many silly songs. That shit drastically messes up the flow of his albums. The third, is his repetitive subject matter. You’re still talking about killing your mother after 11 years? Jesus tapdancing Christ, man. You’re 38 years old, hang it up already.
From SSLP to Relapse, 1998 to 2009, Em has made 5 albums ALL produced by Dr. Dre, ALL about killing his mother/himself/his ex-wife/gays/Dr. Dre/you and ALL making fun of whichever celeb is hot at the time.
Recovery will be the real test of whether or not Em knows how to step outside of his bubble.
