Because dude would make a terrific executive producer. He knows how to pick beats, what artist to get on a track, all those things that are taken for granted. I agree. I’m surprised Game was able to drop a fourth album. I don’t even consider him a West Coast rapper, since his flow is East Coast.
As a person, he’s bi-polar, flip flopping on whatever he says, first he’s done beefing w ninjas, then it’s cool. He wasn’t taking shots at Jay-Z on Documentary, then around Doctor’s Advocate, a song taking shots at Dre and Jay-Z surfaces. Then to add salt to the wound, he come out with an official diss. And the retirement thing…
As a rapper, his flow is okay. If you’re comparing him to East Coast/South/Midwest/West, his flow is average to good but below: Kanye (I said it), J.Cole, Joe Budden, Crooked I, Joel Ortiz, Lupe, Eminem, Lloyd Banks, Fabulous, Wayne, Royce, Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Beanie, Freeway, Young Chris…man I could go on forever.
He can’t write good hooks.
BUT…as Unreal said he’s always had great production on his albums. That combined with his flow, make him a good artist in today’s hip-hop market.

I listened through the Little Brother once. I thought it was good on the first listen through but probably their worse album. And it seems so sad and final. It was a good seven year run. And I wish them success in their single careers. 9th is obviously going to still be in demand as a producer. Phonte could carve out his own niche, especially with the whole rapping/singing thing. Big Pooh, it’s sad but that one skit on Minstrel Show will probably be true…
