I’ll try again. Btw, I love playing this team as Gief/Sonson/Anak. Works well for me as low-tier action. Gief very well could kill 1 character.
-can land 1/2 life combos on hit most of the time w/ Gief
-He DOES build meter quite well
*if you don’t fancy sjing for your meter, just jump and whiff j.hk right before you land…the animation starts, but ends becuase Gief’ is too low to the ground to fully pull it off…and you STILL get the meter for having done the j.hk =) this is quite safe
**my only itch w/ gief would be accidentally pulling off b+s.lp for the elbow drop while poking…i’ve trained myself to poke with b+c.lp by this point
***only use FAB in case of emergencies (e.g., DHC); spd wipes the floor with FAB…rotate the stick/dpad clockwise as he is pile-driving for near 45pts of dmg on spd =]
-i usually end the gief’ rampage w/ a mecha transformation, then a cunning tag in w/ anak and that’s when the team chemistry really starts to function
anak:
-lk,lkxxgief ground, jump uf, pause, mummy curse works as a reset…i often screwed up the pause in heat of matches, but have it down now
-c.hp, call gief, sj.hp/hk, mummy curse works as a reset until you get to the corner…then do above or mix it up (this is the strongest reset i’ve found so far…only takes 3reps for the kill)
-c.hp, sj.lk, sj.lp, snake(?) hc [solid damage…start off with hp first and it almost always connects…this messed me up at first as i would start with lp and then mash clockwise]
*don’t get so focused on fighting and trying to land the reset that you forget he can just drop tombs on people…if you know your opponent’s ideal location for doing whatever it is they do best, sj, call gief to cover your underbelly or sonson to cover a 35-90degree area in front of you and drop the corresponding tomb and be ghetto w/ it…after a tomb drop, spit out a potential mummy curse (some people will jump AT you out of annoyance of having been hit w/ a tomb…good dmg on these hits btw lol)
sonson:
-try to focus on using the fruit super after gief-ground connects…does at least 10 more points of dmg than the staff…the staff is a little random w/ dmg, being that the number of hits dealt by the staff depends on your opponents positioning/height
*also, it keeps you in momentum afterwards…your opponent is temporarily grounded, allowing you to start gief-ground pressure on wake-up or anak-variety cross-up
-sonson/gief and/or sonson/anak can implement a ghetto trap sequence if you wall-run, wave dash effectively…after her wall-runxxkick thingy, sonson has frame advantage and can continue the momentum…if your opponent does not pushblock you, run through her magic series, call gief, wall runxxkick when she gets to about the 45degree area of the corner, repeat (this can be mixed up a bit…have fun with it
*the tomb drop can be traded w/, sending it back up early…remember
**mecha gief steps this little trap rep up a few notches
***after hit confirm of the wall-run kick thingy (lol), sonson can connect a hp dp movexxstaff super or df+hp only (mid-screen) launcher for maybe an air combo to staff super cross-up
…if she gets pushblocked during her magic series or after her wall kick, gief may still be out, so send the squirrels a runnin’, then call anak-variety, wall runxxkick when necessary to send her BEHIND your opponent for the cross-up, magic series, gief/anak as necessary
*above doesn’t do much chip, but builds good meter, and runs the time…when you get bored…after your magic series, use the hp dp move w/ sonsonxxstaff superxxgief FAB and whatever after that (keep in gief or go to anak again)
a moderately safe DHC from anak to sonson would be working from d,d+PP tomb drop super --> sonson’s super monkey (invincible start-up, you can break shit up during, & FAST recovery)

Rogue/Storm/Psy is strong.
Just wondering: Is it truly random if we are able to submit a character and assist we want thrown in? Hustleman, why don’t you use a calculator and submit random teams? Otherwise, we don’t know who is just picking someone they want played with the assist they want played. For example, when ecz submitted Tron-throw, my mind ran through the characters that would do well with this assist. Not random.
I, honestly, intend on figuring out what each character’s strengths are alone, then looking at how other characters hc’s and their available assists add to them.
Ok from now on ill use the random team generator and submit the random teams and random assists. it gonna take me a bit to do that so until then talk about the rouge/storm/psy ill post the next team in a bit

Ok I used a calculator and the first team is going to be Zangief assist #2 Blackheart assist #3 Akuma assist #2
So after we finish Rouge/Storm/Psy start on that team, by the way feel free at any time to change the teams starting order.

While using storm build as much meter as possible. Rouge is actually pretty decent at burning meter also storm can build meter for her self.
After you build meter start turteling with psy assist.
-With meter try chiping with Hailstorm and once rouge is in try to go for semi infinite.

TR, Storm’s LA assist is easily a plus as a cross-up tool to launch. Do a little tick w/ Rogue (e.g., c.lk); call storm, sj. d+hk to the other side
You can also use it as a cross-up on incoming characters to set up free hits for Rogue.
Also, launch, fierce/roundhouse into storm assist, sj.lp, sj.lk, sj.lp, d+hk, call storm assist again, sj. d+hk to get to the left for another cross-up and do whatever
Use it as a GB on those who normal jump a lot if you are fast enough to wave dash behind storm and catch the opp
Use it to extend your strings…magic series, storm assist comes in, whatever (tho Psy-aa would fit better here imo)
