yeah, I a lot of times where I usually can just barely block capcom, I get hit instead online. it makes me very scared to try and rush down storm/sent online. and then there are the good storm/sents (not necessarily way better than I am) and it’s like almost no point, there is nearly no way for me to get a hit. I have to pray that once I do get a hit, it doesn’t lag during a combo.
then there are the beastly thraxes and it’s just…sad that any chance I might have is gone : /
then there are the scrubby ones where yes, I can beat with anakaris, or spam trijump hks, etc.
mixup: thrax starting storm actually naturally counters mag/doom. just what storm normally does plus drones etc. don’t even let doom get out or get close enough to stuff capcom. sent starting it’s a little better, unless he gets in the air. especially online (which is why i don’t really use that team anymore against thrax online)
so yeah, so many ragequitters. I just feedback each one. if they especially ragequite against anak while they have a top tier team and I’m OCVing them, I’m definitely filing a “cheating” report.
I do get sort of worried that filing all these reports/feedback might come back and make it look like I’m the bad guy falsely reporting so many people…
The only thing tht bothers me about ragequitting is losing my OCV. Everything else I couldnt care less about, if they want to concede early then let them I get the W all the same…
unfortunately i did not get the win. i was just doing player match. 7 game win streak. was beating dude, and right before the last rape he quits, and i still had 7 wins. oh noez
So quitting before the match ends is faster for everyone involved, and doesn’t affect the ranking system. (except the OCV achievement, but it’s not hard to get, it just takes time IMO)
My point is people knew that online lag was going to be a problem in this game but people purchased the game anyway and want to complain about the lag issues. :rolleyes: whatever man :lol:
Online Marvel is only worth your time if you don’t take it seriously IMO. No way to justify ragequits but there’s no way to stop it with all the FPS players picking up Marvel now.
If it really bothers you all you can do is send them a message really quick (“nice dc jerk”) and full out the “Avoid Player – Disconnected Early” thing, for 360 at least. I always make sure to do both in HDR cos it takes like 20 seconds. Not like it matters but yeah, about all you can do.
It’s weird, I’m not that great or anything. But even I have gotten a few rage quits.
Mainly after i make a good comeback, or catch both a guy and his assist in AHVBx3… my favorite one like that was someone who called juggs than immediatley started flying. I was pretty much like “hey thanks for handing me the match.”
Of course I had my first experience with lagneto the other day… that was uh… holy shit lol. I’m pretty proud that I almost knocked out mags in that match, he had to tag out so no OCV for him! He wasn’t even that hard to predict, it was just tricky reading the jumps. He was also way better than me even though he dropped the ROM a lot (which I’m 100% sure was due to lag).
I could give two craps about OCV achievements, my rank, their record, ect. The only ragequit that bothers me is when I am about 3 hits away from a PERFECT.

Yeah the ragequitting in this game is probably the WORST out of all the newest fighters out there now.
In like the first 6 matches I had even played in ranked I had a match go exactly like this…
Opponent picks-Silver Samurai,Akuma,CapCom
I pick-Cable (projectile) (Since I had just lost to him and wanted to vent),Juggernaut (Dash),CapCom (AAA).
5 maybe 10 seconds into the match as the opponent (As Akuma) calls out Silver Samurai for an assist I (As cable) launch a air launching attack with a followup by using Juggernaut and as they were falling I finish it by means of a AHVB which leaves both characters with but a small spec of health, and he quits and says “Too many bugs man, too many bugs”.
What a joke, I dont even really use cable…normally I would have Guile or Blackheart in his place but I felt like raping someone for a change…and thats what I get for it, people have no balls I swear.:annoy:
