I agree with this. Death Note was brilliant up until that point. After that, it was still sort of good, but we got a bunch of characters that weren’t nearly as interesting, save for Sakujo Man.
The series should’ve ended there and it would’ve been amazing.

I wouldn’t say it fell off. It was simply proven that the core engine and concepts were pure cocaine, and those kilos are in possession of the dumbest drug dealers you’ll ever meet. They’re putting rat poison in with the dope when they step on the package.
Back on the general topic, I forgot a couple things I’ve already talked about that, nonetheless, fit this topic.
-Kudo Tsunoda. Fuck that dude. Fight Night round 2? Awesome. Fight Night Round 3? Great. Def Jam Icon? Pure shit, and a terrible twist on a great series of games up to that point.
-Metal Gear Online. The newest one that’s about to go offline soon. The very first MGO was what started me on online games period. I played the shit out of it. MGO2? Such horseshit that it was a major reason I traded in MGS4.
