I’m garbage at baiting bursts, so I forgot about that tidbit. Thanks for reminding me though, lol.
She was pretty underestimated, she was really solid in TvC. I just wish her level 1s had more use in that game.

Any level 3 that can be comboed into is useful. So I dont see how Morrigans is “one of the most useful so far” when at this point Dante, Doom and probably many other people at this point can combo into theirs from what I have seen.
As far as it being too early to gauge how good astral vision is, since when was it to early to say ambiguous crossup isnt viable? Its no more of a gimmick than ouroburos or V-ism. Its a pressure tactic with low risk high reward that costs one meter.
Big bonus for di: how many lvl 3s can be done in the air? It’s the only one I can think of.
You’ve obviously never played her in TvC if you’re saying this. It’s pretty much the same as it was in TvC. We don’t know how damage scaling effects those hypers, where they can and cannot be comboed into, etc. for the aforementioned characters and other new characters’ level 3s.
Not saying they aren’t useful, just that we don’t know how much they’re worth spending the meter on.
Dante’s will likely be just as useful. it can’t be done in mid air, but his Sky Dance (j.QCF+C) is a great Air combo ender, moves Dante air-to-ground, and is Super Cancelable.
Don’t know enough about the other lvl 3’s to be able to tell where Darkness Illusion stands in terms of damage, usefulness or versatility yet.
And I never claimed to have played TvC, and this isnt TvC so I fail to see the relevance. Morrigan wasnt even that great in TvC, shes better in this game. Thats the gag.
Its comboable in the air, big deal, Morrigan has more going for her than blowing 3 meters when she can do a lot of other stuff with that much juice.
Damage scaling isnt even severe in this game to begin with.
Ooh, I see the relevance!
Clearly it means you know just as much about MvC3 as you know about TvC! Jack shit, that’s the gag.
We know how it worked in TvC, and it seems to be just as serviceable in MvC3. Whether after an air combo you should just pop a Finishing Shower and save 2 bars or whether it’s worth it to use Darkness Illusion largely remains to be seen.
But TvC is the closest game we have to base DI comparisons on as it works largely the same and has the same cost.
You guys shouldn’t let bitch troll ya so easy. Make him work for it!
She is better in this game, but you haven’t played TvC, so you commenting on her status on that game is pretty invalid. She was a very solid character in that game, she just lacked damage output without her level 3. Also, DI is based off of its TvC counterpart in this game, even though this isn’t TvC, so there is some relevance here.
No one said she didn’t have more going for her than just her level 3, it’s just that her level 3 is also extremely good. I think I’ve gotten to test Morgz out in this game more than you have to figure that out.
I guess you have gotten to test out all of the characters and their moves to come to this conclusion. I can’t judge the scaling on this game as a whole cause I haven’t played the full game yet.
So, for those of you who are TvC Savvy, would you say that MvC3 Morrigan is better than TvC Morrigan in overall terms?
Yes, a hell of a lot better. She’s better in every aspect to me.
Overall, hell yes.
Only negative is that her Darkness Illusion fails in comparison from an aesthetic standpoint. The dramatic camera + Lilith blows MvC3’s DI out the water.
I can’t think of anything TvC Morrigan has that MvC3 Morrigan doesn’t, from what I’ve seen.
The only thing I’m curious about is if her airthrow is still deceptively good. You could seriously grab the opponent out of some glitched-looking shit with her in TvC at times.
It still is. I remember grabbing people from ranges I swear I should not have.
So… I cant comment on TvC because I havent played it, but we sitting here talking about MvC3 when half of yall havent even touch the game and I’ve played it for hours at this point.
Match videos can tell you all you need to know about a game, without playing it.
Lol @ this post. Funny how everyone who argued against you probably played this game more than you.
Whatever lol.
Arguing with you on christmas eve about how a move thats not even in the game sucks isnt worth it right now.
Morrigan’s colors
1-regular
2-the blond morrigan everybody knows
3-shades of pink/magenta/red with black hair (looks good)
4-Red, green (on the gloves) and white hair.
Christmas Morrigan?
pretty much.
