I thought the main consensus was that Roll is the worst?
Roll has more useful tools than servebot on point, faster dash, better throw, better mobility, better assists. She’s by far the better character.
This. Thats why I think that 20 characters are playable in tourneys in MVC2. I got into an arguement about how BB Hood sucks, and I simply told him, “Pick BB Hood/Juggernaut/Whoever. When they whiff a hyper or any move, press the two assist buttons and watch what happens.” I can go on and on about how BB Hood and juggernaut pwns anything living with an assist that addresses their problems (btw I think they address each others problems. Thats how much this duo rocks), but that would be off topic.

All we know right now is, she works somewhat well with Doom’s Rocks, but then again, Doom’s Rocks seem to be good for covering any sort of rushdown. Ideally though, you’d probably want something that forces your opponent to block low since you’ll want to be coming in with her overheads (IAD > j.E).
j.E or j.2E? I think the drill is a better come in since its pretty meaty.
If Wesker/x23 low assist end up having decent startup or invincibility they will end make Morrigans pressure game nice and ugly.

After reading 80% of the posts of this thread.
First of all Morrigan is pretty good Marvel vs. Capcom 3 in my opinion, I seen couple of Morrigan vids. Her Finishing shower is one my favorite supers since Vampire Savior, sure it’s slow, but it’s good for chip damage and I already know that you can combo it. Who needs the soul eraser.
First of all I’ve never complained about her finishing shower. I mainly use it as a defensive move, especially as a keep away.
Back to MvC3 Morrigan gameplay:
She’s plays much like her old Vampire Hunter days, with the addition of Astral Vision.
I main team is be Morrigan/Trish/Ironman for now.
Morrigan is always been my main since the first Darkstalkers game.
Is her shadow blade assist invincible because if so its gonna be dormmamu, morrigan and doom… Ultimate zoning chip damage team… I tried her at euro gamer and anime con but never used her as a assist once because I was to busy kicking ass with her on point:wink:
I think Dante seems to be the high priority assist of choice. He has a multi hit Captain Corridor that lasts longer.
That isn’t a GTFO assist though. Besides, Dorm has Purification for AA, canceled into FB if necessary.

Yeah, it has startup invincibility. Works well with dorm, since his shit gets rushed once they get in on him.

Is Morrigan a character that can be played both Defensively and offensively? she seems like a solid character and I want to try her out in mvc3.
When she’s got her clone out there, maybe, considering she basically has fullscreen range on everything, except hypers which haven’t been done during that state…
Can she magic series if Lilith hits but not Morrigan?
They’re always an equal distance away from the enemy, so it would never come up.
Morrigan can be played Defensively and Offensively, like in TvC. Soul Fist got buffed from TvC, so its an even better projectile.
Also, the clone is a Morrigan clone, not Lilith. D:
