Cool, another way to combo Finishing Shower. This woman just keeps getting better and better. =)
I wonder if she can use other hypers during Astral Vision…

definitely not
Who do you all think will be good teammates with Morrigan.
I already know I’m running Morrigan/Hulk but I dont know who my 3rd will be.
Ammy/cold star or doom/rocks would be the most likely answers.
Aside from Ammy and Doom, try Trish or Dormmamu, they work well with her. Especially Dormmamu.
Also try Dante’s Jam Session(Self explanatory) or Skrull’s Tenderizer(Good hitbox, long blockstun, good for anti-jump purposes).
She’s def gonna be a problem
Ran Morrigan(Soul Fist or AA) / Trish(Air Trap) / Dorm(Pillar) at Comic-con, works really well. Morrigan AA is great for the two trap chars, and she gets the big damage that the other two don’t quite. Plus Dorm’s super fireball is ridiculous if you get them off you with a srk.
Has annyone messed around with her flight?
Haven’t seen anyone do so in any of the videos. Seems like most people wanna try out her Astral Vision shenanigans.
I saw one video utilize it, and it seems worthwhile. Her air dash seems to go faster while in flight form, but it might just be a perception error on my part. I’m also not sure whether this is the case normally, but her air dash was vertically controllable at all times (so you could trick people up by vertical “air footsies”). If I come across the video again I’ll link it here.
This intrigues me. Hope someone gets to test this the next time Capcom let people get their hands on the game.
flight modes seem to be so short and slow compared to 2… maybe its just 'cuz you can’t refly?
Not surprised they took refly out, what with all the shenanigans you could pull off using unfly/refly in 2.
w\o having the character to break down fully in front of you, its impossible to tell what will be a good assist for morrigan. Anyone doing so is doing it based on pure speculation. Then there is also the fact that team chemistry as it applies to mvc2\mvc3 is pretty much the same. So if you can’t design a good team for mvc2, you can’t design a good team for mvc3.
There are variables that need to be tested in order to properly assign the right assist. I’ve built tons of teams in mvc2, I know how the process works. While there may be some assists that seem ok for her right now, its all speculation w\o testing.
Morrigan is looking pretty decent this time around, I’m looking forward to seeing what people are able to do with her.
fuck, I’m pm’ing you then when this shit comes out, I am retarded when it comes to making teams/picking assists
Of course it’s speculation tho’, that goes without saying.
Speculation is fun!
examples? What do you look for?
You have to find assists that complement each of the characters play-style this takes the longest to find and do.
Second is to practice and find a shit load of setups.
No I know what to look for. I was just asking for what he looks for/did for chemistry
Essentially what it boils down to helping a characters strong points or beefing up a characters weak points. On team clockw0rk, the team is pretty much designed to help strider be as strong as he can be given the current system. You’re highlighting all his strong points and making them that much stronger. Cable in mvc2 has quite a hard time with run away storm so thats why you see a lot of team scrub vs storm. Running away from cable really hurts him so you help his weak point by giving him an assist that is VERY hard to run away from.
I seriously could talk about how to design teams all day. Its one of the best features of mvc2\mvc3. You can take servebot in mvc2 which is the worst character in the game and with a little team chemistry, he’s instantly on mid tier teams.
