This combo:
c.L c.M c.H j.M j.M j.H st.M c.H j.H ADF j.H st.M S j.M j.H j.S Hailstorm
Does less damage than this, much easier combo:
c.L c.M c.H S j.M j.M H ADF H Lightning Attack x3 -> Lightning Storm
Granted, the hailstorm places the opponent in a better position for DHCing purposes, and just a better position in general, but if your just going pure damage, the lightning storm combo is better and easier.
Hmmmm never realized, I guess the first combo builds more meter for when you need that extra dhc to finish the opponent off. Plus like you said, dhcing out of hail storm if infinitely easier than dhcing out of lighting storm.
But good to know, now when I have one bar and just wanna go for raw damage ill go for the latter combo.
From what I can tell though is that the Air H ‘Loop’ does even more damage than the Lightning Storm combo, and can also end in hailstorm. Sure it does build less meter than the first combo you posted, but you can easily sneak a TAC in the ‘loop’ instead of one of the H’s or perform a reset (resetting the loop lets you throw -> light typhoon -> a few diffrent options depeding on your height) The Air loop is pretty easy in ultimate aswell, worth trying to learn
[Instant Float xx j:l:j:h:] x3 cr:h: jc j:h: xx add land cr:h: jc j:h: xx add land cr:h: jc j:h: xx adf xx j:h: xx :f:Lightning Attack xx Lightning Storm
Damage: 482,000
I’m curious as to how the beginning of this combo works the instant float xx jL,jH x3 part. Could someone help me out on this one?
So I have started using a new bnb with storm that I’m not sure if people know about it. The combo is:
Cr.a > cr.b > s > j.c > air dash down forward j.c > land [ j.c > air dash down land cr.c ] x 3 or 4 ending at a j.c airdash forward j.s > land otg typhoon > hailstorm > elemental rage.
With this combo storm builds about 95% of a meter uses two and the damage is over 800k. Basically you can do this to anycharacter anywhere on the screen. I thought I would share as I think this is pretty sweet
Edit- actual numbers
768700 off low a
814300 off float s
All of my j.c commands are air h. I didnt specify jump cancels in the combo. So at the end you do crouch h > jump h > airdash forward s > land otg typhoon. Also you get to add the second super at the end ( wasn’t sure why you didn’t copy the elemental rage at the end)
ahh i see thanks and i don’t know what the hell i was thinking just skipping elemental rage. Hmm. i’m no good at playing but im decent at organization. i could remake the combo thread with notations if someone can help me with which moves do and do not work in ultimate.
I like button notations because i print them and practice.
damage: 768700
meter: -1.05
c:l:>c:m: >:s: > a:h: > ADDF >a :h: >land[a :h: > Air Dash Down land cr:h:] x3 or 4 > air :h: >Air Dash Forward Air :s:> land :qcb: :atk: > :qcb: :atk::atk: > :dp: :atk: :atk:
Yeah that notation is correct. I normally would use the colored buttons but I was posting from my phone lol. One thing to add is that the combo works midscreen as well you just have to make sure to jump up forward when doing the ground reps, in the corner you just have to jump straight up. overall the combo is easier in the corner.
I also have one more combo to add:
c:l: > c:m: > c:h: > neutral jump > air lightening attack forward > air lightening attack forward > air lightening attack down > land > c:h: > a:h: > air dash down > > a:h: > air dash down > > :s: > super jump > a:h: > a:s: > land hailstorm
this is the most damaging one meter combo I have found for storm. I’ll get the numbers up in a sec, but I want to say if started with float S > stand M it does like 680k.
I don’t have a video and I’m at nec right now. The best way I can describe it is hit s then immediate super jump h, pause then air dash down immediate h. Make sure your not hitting with crouch h before the launch as they will be to high. They need to be launched from a standing position.
Also it works on every character but is easiest on sent or other big bodies. Corner might make it easier to get the idea as well. Then you can just go straight down.
I had to modify it some so I could get it to work for me. I’ve only worked it on Sentinel so far still practicing the timing but I was able to get 802,600 off of
If I start with a c:l: I get 758K. This is still better than what I was starting with so I’ll work it. I just can’t get the timing down on the j:h: add c:h: part. Also I landed it on captain america so thank you for the input PacStrife.
Hey man glad to hear you got it to work out for you. I’ll try to put up a video when I get back Home on Monday. I also have a good bit of x factor tech with her that I should put out there.
I was trying to to do something in X factor with lightning sphere walking them down the screen yesterday but I couldn’t think of anything else after that. I didn’t play Storm in the first one too much. Was too busy working with Spiderman. She’s fun though in this game
This only works in the corner, but what you do is press Up, Up, L, H, Up, Up, L, H, Up, Up, L, H. Hit the Up Up as soon as you hit the ground after the hard.
I’m uploading the variations to PacStrife’s combo now. They are still pretty good on damage for Storm. Hoping I’m not stepping on any toes by doing this. I’ll edit this post when the vid is done.
I can’t seem to successfully connect the j.H after the ADDF, but I’m having more success just doing ADD j.H, even at midscreen. It allows for the rest of the Xero’s combo, just need to delay the s.M to allow them to fall down more.
