The Power of Chi! Official Iron Fist thread!

But if it isn’t why would anyone use it?

Well you use it as a minilauncher too… but I guess then it had better be jump cancellable. I guess thats why I’m concerned tho’.

There are a lot of useless moves in this game.

Hey, as long as you can cancel it into his wallbounce kick somehow or it causes a soft knockdown, at the very least, I’ll be happy.

OH MY GOD WE’LL GET A CHANCE TO PLAY UMVC3 HERE IN BRAZIL \o/

That’s awesome! I hope you’ll be able to test somethings out while you’re there (specifically if his command normals and crack his command list).

I’m a little confused. Seth said that his palm move was F+H. People here say that it’s B+H.

Which one is it?

I always thought it was one of his rekka options, but it’s a command normal?

If I’m able to go (low on money and just lost my wallet lmao) I’ll make sure to make a list on things I find out while I’m playing.

The move where the hits you with both palms, it causes lots of hitstun or something.

he has a command normal palm and a rekka palm (and the crumple rekka which people tend to think of as a palm). The command normal one causes a shockwave effect on hit that looks a TON like the Twins’ palm from SF, and puts them into a reel animation.

only command normals we know so far are the high kick and the 2 handed palm… altho his standard :h: looks like it should be a command normal.

I think I might roll Doom with his beam assist while I am using Iron Fist. A good beam assist should be able to get him almost no problem at all.

I know, I’m trying to figure out the input. Some people say back H, some say forward H.

my impression is that :f: is the kick, and :b: is the palm.

or maybe one of them is :f::m:

So, looks like the kick is actually called Rising Fang, not Dragon Fang as previously stated.

sure thats’ not upkicks? (and whats your source?)

Saw it in the assist selecion on the Shadowloo stream few minutes ago

Fuck me then lol. I got 2 of them 3 when I was trying to read the Katakana… sadface

Oh wait I know! I’m gonna say they have different names in japanese!

I was thinking about the OTG -> Knockdown loop you suggested, and what if we could TK Chi Power Up after a rekka? Not only it would be easier to do the loop due to faster recovery but you would be powered up all the way through, it would also help a lot on offense (faster recovery on block so avoid punishes and to wavedash after a pushblock) and more extensive combos.

There has to be some kind of hitstun deterioration on Rekkas, or we would be doing :mk::lk::hp: repeatedly.
