But we’ll probably get a few reps knowing how this game works, I mean, this IS the game where Magneto’s combos are basically H pressed over and over again with different timing.

Yeah, considering they removed Zero’s Shippuga loop, we’ll be lucky to get more than two reps of it.

This is also the game where Iron Man has to work his ass off just to make sure his j. S hits. Plenty of characters were not as blessed as say, Dante.

I think there are a few things for getting several reps for the loop.

  1. I think specials have less HSD (not certain on this, I know SOME specials get way less HSD, sometimes none, in vanilla)
  2. Very few hits, so less HSD for the damage.

Nothing. The only problem would probably be the links between rekkas.

This made me think of something… I wonder how much you can delay a rekka hit? Not sure how useful it would be in marvel, but could be handy.

You notice when he “glows” after doing a rekka? That’s probably when you cancel into another one, probably.

Can he do all his rekkas normally?

I believe all of his rekkas except his S based ones that wall bounce are usable at any point and time.

you know, Ive been very curious about fists of fury lately, concerning it’s wall bounce property. What if it’s possible to extend your combo afterwards, potentially into another super? an ability like that could put iron fists damage potential even higher on the ridiculous scale. the other thing I was wondering was if you combo into fists of fury like seth did once, if the last hit blasts him back into the corner similar to spencer’s qcf s if you perform a wallbounce earlier in a combo before it. being able to end a combo with the opponent knocked down in the corner could really help iron fist set up an oki/mixup game. course we still gotta see what the full properties are but still, the potential is there.

Its one of the funny things, IF has 3 different wallbounce moves, but in the demos they never combo out of ANY of them. Funnily, I think ‘the enemy knocked down in the corner’ is the default combo end for him… He has tons of ‘carry’ and tons of knockdowns. :wink:

And El_Maiz, I bet you’re right, the glow is the window. I kind of find myself hoping for some delayed-rekka frametraps, but then I have to remind myself that its marvel.

I really like IF but the more info and footage that is released he seems to have a few serious hurdles. That horrible launcher and air options are the ones that are glaring, After that he seems like he would be really easy to pin in a corner with any of the zoning characters. Need more Info… (Sips more Odins Beer.)

still hoping for anti-projectile on flying kick. I’m pretty sure, but confirmation would be nice!

I hope that you can Dragon Kick outside of a combo.

well you CAN do it, you can do any of the rekkas on their own.

You could probably Dragon Kick in while drones cover you. Seems to be a similar angle.

I love his X Factor activation quote, the simple utterance of the word “Stength”. Like that’s all he needs to conquer his foes. Love it. Or maybe I’m just being a big nerd with no life and over analyzing stuff again…

With lack of info you have to nerd it up. I like how he says “Lei Kung, I have…failed you.” when he gets downed…I just don’t wanna hear it often.

I hope I’m not the millionth person to ask this, but is there a general consensus on his health? Average? Low? Above average? I’ve heard all three…
