The Power of Chi! Official Iron Fist thread!

They don’t stack? Which one is the truth?

Can’t watch right now, but in the other he definitely said they stacked.

Well, looks like they don’t but he want them to, they’re looking into it.

I guess I’m ok with both

Im not ok with at both at all, he loses alot of shine for me personally if they don’t stack. I don’t care if you have to stack 3-5 just for average damage or stam. I can understand meter not stacking.

Meh, whatever. He’s still the best character ever.

If they don’t stack he just became boring. Finding more ways to stack should have a big payoff. If they feel it’s too much then it should be a very easy thing to adjust the first one or two powerups to not be insanely powerful.

3 stacks would be great IMO

But no stacks is cool as well, they last very little so you still want to power up as much as you can.

Yea them stacking would be great, but it’s not a deal breaker for me. As Joe said, you still want at least one active at all times - especially on offense. So creating openings in your combos to refresh your buff can still add some great depth.

Im pretty sure they stack, unless if by stacking you mean different colors stacking. Im pretty sure the individual ones stack.

Seth Deconfirmed the stacking aspect of them said “They are looking into it” meaning it was probably too powerful and if they allow them to stack they will tone it down. Seriously his damage looks off the charts in the videos if it stacks … he will be on every team. Would be nice if one was like 25% though if there not gonna stack.

In the GameSpot video he clearly said they did, but apparently in this new one he says they don’t but he wants them to. I can’t watch it right now so I’m not sure in what context it was said.

Seth just said that they’re thinking about stacking but right now they don’t

Diminishing returns makes sense to keep it from being OP. I just think it was just be a lot of fun to min/max combos based on stacking buffs.

Maybe its for the best if they don’t stack, or at the very least, if the damage ones don’t stack. I mean this dude killed chris in 2 combos, one of which wasn’t even completed, thats a lot of damage considering these are day 0 combos and assists weren’t even used. They would have to make his base damage laughable, or make it nigh impossible for him to get a hit in for his damage chi moves to not be broken if they stack. Least in my opinion.

Btw what video did seth say this in? Im assuming it was neither the gamespot nor the ign one.

I’m hoping they don’t stack. I feel like if they did stack then you would be focusing on those Chi power ups all the damn time. And it would probably make him worse honestly. Cause ask anyone that played Q, trying to do something like that three times is rough

I still don’t care which one is it, I’m happy both ways, guess I’m too much of an Iron Fist fanboy to be unhappy about anything that concerns him

Seth DIDN’T confirm it, it was the other guy who said “they stack”. I think Seth just mean’t that you can re-apply power-ups, unlike let’s say, non-hitting hypers. Like you don’t have to wait for it to go away to power-up again. It makes sense, so it would last through the whole combo.

Indeed, so without stacking a 10 hit combo would do 1 million damage just because it didn’t ran out of power up.

Yeah, I can see why they don’t stack.

Yeah I took it as him saying that if you reapply mid combo your combos damage will be 1million plus instead of letting it run out mid combo.
